OMG! Only 5 days! I'm so excited!!! This dancing banana doesn't do it justice. LOL Ok so what's been going on... Well... I started packing yesterday and then realized I have no idea what I want to wear doing the day of the cruise. I got my fancy dress handled but what am I going to wear while I lounge during the day? I'm trying to stay away from my usual attire of jeans and a t-shirt but that may not work out so well.

I did happen to find a nice casual dress i can wear with leggings and you know I packed 2 pairs of flip flops.

So what else happened well the FE gifts are definitely gonna get their own bag, but I planned ahead for this. The FE is almost done just gotta attach the cord on top and take some pictures for you all.

Good News: I got an email from Disney that my vinylmation Mickey has shipped and they guarantee me it will deliver by Friday. Wouldn't you guess the tracking number is still showing no info on the USPS website. Grrr

I did get a nice surprise in the mail today. There was a knock on my door and I got a package in the mail. I had ordered two evening bags before I had bought my dress assuming at least one was going to match. After a week I received my other items on that order but not the purses. When I called I was told they were on back order and they didn't have an eta at this time. I was all sad because I didn't think they were going to make it in time for the trip but ... SURPRISE

Also got my cruise insurance today. I know cutting it really close there.

Well thats all I have for now .. I'm watching NCIS:LA and it's hard to write this and concentrate on the show.... LOL

Let me just tell you ... As much as I love the excitement of taking a trip i hate all the last minute craziness. I thought I would check the tracking on my Vinylmation Mickey this morning and guess what? It has an expected delivery of 11/7. Does anyone see a problem with that 'cause I do!!! I leave 11/6!I can't stress this emotion enoughWhat am I going to do? I called Disney and the nice girl on the phone said ok let me send you a replacement with 2 day shipping and then just refuse the late one or return it once you get back. Good idea right? Ha, it was except they don't have the white one in stock. Because this just had to get worse ...

Well after talking some more we checked to see if any more colors were aaliable and the only one left is the glow in the dark. Thats cool, I'm ok with that. So hopefully I will get this thing before we leave. She said I should get it by Sat at the latest. Fingers crossed. Seriously if this thing doesn't get here in time they better have them on the ship!!!

What the hell happened? They must have misplaced your order... I ordered a day after you and just recieved ours on Thurs. I got 2 glow in the dark ones and they are awesome! Happy that Disney is getting them to you ASAP. Do you just drop them off at Guest Services right when you get on the ship?

Hey, we're at the airport and on our way! So excited

There is as a very good chance that they will have the vinylmation on the ship. I called the cruise line before I ordered ours and they said they usually have them. Anyway hopefully yours will arrive today so you won't have to worry!

Today were leaving for the cruise. I'm so excited! My first cruise and a Disney Cruise. How Awesome!!! I spent all last night packing and I think I got everything. We have 2 big bags and 2 carry-ons. Can you believe 4 bags for 2 people for 1 week and I am planning on doing laundry once on the ship. One of the carry-ons is all FE gifts. I'm still trying to find the photos I took before we left but no luck so far. I'll add them in once they decide to show up.

Now I am not an early riser but you know I was the first one up in the morning. Did I mention I was super excited!!! Now I'm sure your wondering who was going with me on this "wonder"ful cruise. Traveling with me was my mom. She is not a Disney nut like me but she does enjoy a good vacation. So back to Sunday morning .. It was pouring rain (not raining pouring). No worries, nothing is gonna stop my parade. It only took about 35 minutes to get to the Port of LA. Our check in time was 11:00 am. We got there around 10:30 and were able to check in pretty fast.

When you get to the port you can park or drop of somebody at the front (just like at the airport). To drop off just drive around the parking lot and it will take you straight to the drop off in front of the building. We were dropped off so once we stopped a porter helped us with the luggage out of the car. They take anything that is not being carried on and make sure it gets to the ship (Don't worry your luggage will be delivered to your stateroom later that evening). ***Don't forget to tip your porters. $1 or $2 per luggage is adequate.

Before you can enter the terminal you need to have your State ID or Passport and cruise documents out. They will check these and then you can proceed. Once inside we were given the Cruise Navigator and Sunday's Navigator and then rushed up an escalator for check in. As soon as we hit the top of the escalator we were directed to a table with medical questionares and then got in line for check in. There was only 2 people ahead of us in line so we got through pretty fast. This is where we got our Key to the World Card, boarding pass, and information letter about your onboard acct.

Next came metal detectors and then lots of sitting. When we first sat down there wasn't many people by the time we boarded the terminal was full. By the kids check in area there was a photo area and the characters were visiting and taking pictures. We started boarding about 12:00.

As we started walking towards the boat we were given hand wipes (this became a reoccurring theme throughout the cruise) and then had our photo taken. Unfortunately this as the only professional photo we took the whole cruise. On the next cruise I definately will be taking more. There are tons of opportunities.

Right before you enter a cruise member stops you and ask you your family name. Then they announce you. "Welcome Aboard the Lopez Family" Another cruise member came and told us the rooms would be ready at 2pm and then answered any questions we had. Next stop was food. Yummy! They had 2 places open Beach Blanket Buffet and Parrot Cay. A lot of people had recommended going to Parrot Cay but they already had a line and they were directing people to Beach Blanket Buffet instead. Good choice!
