Mickey's Kitchen Sink

WHAT??

I guess I'm the only one who is grossed out by the thought of eating out of Mickey Mouse's pants??

I normally love hot fudge, but eeeeeeeeeeewww...

I just found out about this today b/c of my subscription to DFB.

Someone could make a lot of $ just buying the thing w/o ice cream & putting it on ebay. A *TON* of people were on that blog asking about it. If it's just $12 @ DL...I'd gladly buy one for $15 given that it's $23 at WDW. If any enterprising person has it on ebay, just PM me the username. I'll on that like white on rice, on a paper plate in a snow storm. :rotfl2:

Disney Food Blog just posted a review and said it's also available at Beaches and Cream, I believe at the to-go counter! Same price, same cute sink, but added a brownie, oreos, sprinkles, and chocolate shavings. I'll be trying it there!:cool1:

What wasn't clear to me is that at Beaches and Cream, does this new kitchen sink replace the old one? So instead of 8 scoops of ice cream….a whole can of whipped cream, you now get only 3 scoops of ice cream and this plastic take-home container instead?

According to the author, who cites CMs, "this is meant to be a smaller alternative to the actual Kitchen Sink Sundae for guests that don’t have a reservation and have to get their ice cream to-go." Here is the Disney Food Blog review. So it seems that they'll keep the Kitchen Sink. Hope that's actually true!

Yes, I hope so. Thanks! So it seems as if they're suggesting that if you don't have reservations, you can get this mickey pants sundae at the take-out window. However, if you've got ADRs for the sit down, you can still get the original kitchen sink.

I'll be skipping this one. It's a very cute souvenir but not a must have for me. When we go to DLR next summer, if they have it I would buy it at $12 but not at $23.

It looks like they lowered the price? :confused3

At Plaza Ice Cream Parlor and Plaza Restaurant on Main Street, U.S.A, you’ll find Mickey’s Kitchen Sink Sundae in an adorable “sink” in the shape of Mickey’s red pants. Get ready to share – it’s hand-scooped chocolate, vanilla and strawberry ice cream drizzled with hot fudge, strawberry and caramel topping and topped with chocolate and peanut butter chips, whipped cream, and, of course, a cherry or two. Grab a few spoons and dig in! Cost is $14.99 and it’s not on the Disney Dining Plan.

I wonder why? Did they reduce the amount of stuff you get? Or did people complain and they really lowered the price that much as a result? Anyone had one since the price drop?

i don't have much of a sweet tooth, but definitely plan on getting one when we go in October. It's so cute, and glad the price has dropped.

I'm glad they lowered the price... Can't wait to get one during our upcoming trip!!

Thanks for sharing the update. :thumbsup2

I was just discussing this sundae on the Disneyland forum :rotfl2:. $23 at WDW while we're there in June or $12 at DLR while we're there in July, hmmmm you do the math :teacher: I wonder where I'll get one??

Now that they are reporting a lower price and I've got an ADR at Plaza in June?? Now may have to do a 'coast to coast' taste test and get back to you. :mickeybar

With 2 Mickey Pant bowls at home I'm hoping they make good cereal bowls.
