Is Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade in AK a good parade to view? We'll be spending time in MK so we'll see their parades & fireworks, but what about the AK parade? Does anybody know the best place to view this parade without having to wait very long? Also, how long is it?

Thanks in advance!!

COUNTDOWN .... 5.....4...3....more days!!! :cool1:

Jammin Jungle Parade is excellent, IMOP! Not sure of where the best place to view it without waiting, and also not sure of how long it takes, but you should see it! Then you can decide for yourself if it was worth it or not!

O.K., here is my slightly biased opinion- Jammin' Jungle is the greatest parade ever!!!! :cool1:
Alright, I confess, I dance in that parade five days a week. But really, I think it is such a cute parade and it's different from all the others. The music is really fun and all the characters are in it and we have huge puppet animals that are really beautiful. Definately check it out :thumbsup2
I would say that the best place to watch is either:

A- on the Africa bridge. They let people stand on one side of the bridge and there never seems to be very many people there...I'm not sure why- it's a great spot!

B- Next to the Creature Comforts store there is a huge gate that leads backstage. There is always lots of room there, again I don't know why.

In both these spots, no one is allowed to stand across the street which guarantees that you will get lots of attention from the performers. :goodvibes
I hope that made sense. The parade is about fifteen minutes long, I think.

Come by and see us!!
Oh, and please don't let this post stop eveyone else from voicing their true opinions. I promise I won't be offended!!! Seriously.

That is where I watch the parade. And your right, it is a great parade. It's so different from the other parades and the music is great also.

Absolutely a must-see!! We saw the Jingle Jungle version in '04 and it was one of my favourite highlights of our trip...I think it lasted ~ 30 mins.

Are you one of those people with the safari hats (I think campers)? Even if you're not, please tell them that whenever I watch that parade, I'm always amazed at how talented they are and they're always so enthusiastic. I love that parade! I'm surprised no one mentioned seeing the parade by Tusker House as one of the best spots. That way you get to see it twice-beginning and end. And near the end of the parade, many people have left (having seem it the first time out) so you get some great character interaction.

This parade is great, lively music that you can't stand still, you must be movin' and dancing. Different style floats, and very colorful. The parade is not long at all.

My family got chosen to be in this parade on our Christmas trip last year. It was a blast. My kids still talk about being in this parade.

How exciting! I read somewhere that they pick families for this parade. I think my DS would flip out for an opportunity like that! Very very cool. I can't wait to see this parade. I am really looking forward to it!

We LOVED it too! I found myself wanting to come home and make a bunch of costumes like they had to go to Halloween parties with! Trouble is, we're never invited to any! :confused3 ;) The color, the excitement. It's phenominal!

Despite our numerous visits to AK DD (5) and I never seen this one either  and AK is one of our favorite parks. We are definately planning on seeing this on our August trip!

We were picked to be in this parade on our last trip at the beginning of May. It was so fun! My ds was so excited about being picked. We were on the tiger "float" in front of Donald Duck. We waved to all the kids, it was really cute to see them get excited and wave back.

All the Disney parades are wonderful! We love JJP! It's shorter than an MK parade, very original, lots of fun. Easy to see from where every you are!

DS was 2 at the time and he loved it!
He liked it better than the SADCT snowglobes!
DH & I love it too, very colorful and FUN!!

It's a fantastic parade to watch - my favourite. It's even better to be in though!!!! DH and I got picked to ride in the FRONT FLOAT on our 1st wedding anniversary last year. it was awesome.

Although I don't plan to spend alot of time at AK, I always stay for the parade. I am one of the adults that "move" to the music. I try to stand by Safari Ride that way once parade passes then I can jump onto ride. DH and I will be at AK for our 13th anniversary this year - June 12th.

YES! That's me, safari hat and canteen, dancin' around in the jungle :cool1: Our actual title is "Party Patrol". Thank you so much for your kind words! I have been doing the parade for...well, a VERY long time and we don't often get to hear feedback from park guests, so it's been so great reading the enthusiastic responses to the parade on this thread. :yay:

Thanks, and if any of you have been chosen to ride in the parade in the past, we may have met!

This parade is an absolute DON'T miss!!! It is my 3yo DD's favorite parade. She watches it all of the time and starts talking about it the minute she's sees the Tree of Life in AK (she calls it the Tree Parade because on the DVD the ToL is used as the menu picture).

Tracy - You all do an AMAZING job!!! Thank you so much for keeping us so thoroughly entertained. DD loves to do the dances along with the Party Patrol so come October just look for the cute auburn-haired girl mimicing your every move. We'll be in just the areas you mentioned. ;)

We rode in it on May 6th. Had a great time! Everyone behind the scenes was wonderful. Really made our day that much more special.

Thanks for all you do/did!

Kristen

how does a family go about getting selected to be in the parade. I have heard others talk about this and I was wondering if you have to ask or stand in a certain place.
