Mickey's Christmas Party - for what ages?

We may be going to WDW in December - a first for us! I know nothing about the Christmas Party - my kids are 13, 11, and 8 - would it be fun for them? Does it happen throughout the park, or just in one area? What goes on at the party?

We started taking out kids when they were 5, 7 and 9 and have gone every other year for the past 10 years. Of course my eldest isn't going this year because he's at college, but I'm still taking my girls, who are now 15 and 17. As long as your kids are night owls, you'll definitely get your moneys worth. If money isn't an issue, you don't even have to worry about that. But definitely don't try to force your kids to stay until the end if it's not something they can handle. I've seen too many parents trying to stay until the end with kids who are just too tired and need to go to bed.

Oh my kids are nightowls, so that's not a problem at all! Getting them to bed the night before an early flight will be a problem, but not staying out until the wee hours!

Guess it's safe to say all ages will enjoy this, and it's not just a little kid thing? This is probably the only time we'll ever be at Disney around Christmas, so we should probably do it if possible. Thanks!
