Since a 9 month old probably wouldn't get much out of either (other than being happy being with Mom and Dad and watching the action), I'd go with whichever option you and DH prefer. We haven't been to Mickey's BBQ, but we did go to Hoop Dee Doo with a 15 month old. We also had grandparents and older kids, so that was our prime motivation for going. Hoop Dee Doo is very much a dinner theatre show....if your 9 month old is pretty content with sitting in a high chair or your lap for a long time, you'd probably be o.k. at the Hoop Dee Doo; if you and your DH really want to see it, go for it. If you'd be happy with either, I think I'd go to Mickey's BBQ primarily because you can be walking around as you wish. All that said, I was amazed at how content our 15 month old was at Hoop Dee Doo.....he just leaned back against me and watched all the action.....think it helped a lot that we were very close to the stage. Again, probably should go with whichever you and DH would prefer, but if you're really looking for the easiest to take a baby to, I'd think it would be Mickey's BBQ.
