Does anyone know if Mickey's Backyard BBQ would be good for a 1 year old who LOVES music and dancing but is a bit shy when it comes to characters? It is just the 3 of us (no older siblings), so there are no other kids to consider - and obviously it wouldn't be the first choice for me and DH, but if she would enjoy it, we'd be all for it!

I really want to do a character meal, but I think she'd be too scared of the characters at the "traditional" meals.

Can parents get up and dance with the kids or is it just "older" kids on the dance floor with the characters?

I'd wait a few years. My youngest was shy when he was a baby; he definitely would not have enjoyed it.

Instead go where you and your hubbie want to go, cause when she's older you can bet you'll have to do all the stuff she wants. :teeth:

48 days, 0 hours, and 10 minutes til we're back at Fort Wilderness and Star Wars Weekend! :woohoo:

We attended the BBQ last summer. My kids were a bit older, 2 and 7, at the time, but they loved it. Parents are welcome to get up and dance too. I know my kids loved it, but I tend to agree with last post. At that age, I would probably go ahead and schedule something that I know DH and I would enjoy. BBQ is alot of money if you and your husband aren't that interested. I wouldn't do it again without the kids. Also, the dance floor can get pretty crowded, so for her safety you would probably have to let her dance away from the dance floor.
