Below is the Mickey Wind Chime I just completed following the directions on the internet from Lowe's. It was made from scraps I had laying around and all I had to buy was the red spray paint for the tubes. The tubes are some aluminum from one of the folding camping chairs. The dinger and hanger are from an old scrap solid oak toilet seat and the Mickey head was from some acrylic circa 1968 I've had forever. I did have to soften up the dinger by enclosing the yellow dots in some clear packing tape since the bare wood on the aluminum tubes was too loud and DW wanted a soft sound. The yellow dots were added since the DW asked where the yellow was since I already had the black and red.
I'm quite pleased with how it turned out and may take it with us this Dec to FW if it's not too loud, but it's really fairly soft sounding. Unless you have the scrap tubing, buying that can be a little pricey and might not be worth it. I was going to make an eight tube chime, but only had enough tubes long enough for the six tube chime.
