Can someone tell me how to set this up? Is it done through the front desk? Available at all Disney resorts? princess:

All resorts, just like any other hotel, you call the front desk the night before and tell them what time you would like a wake up call.

If your lucky it will be Mickey, We have had Mickey and goofy wake us up, I also read somewhere here that Stitch also calls.

Have a great trip.

It's all automated. There should be a special button on your room phone that you push. An automated voice will ask you to push the buttons on your phone to set the time and whether you want AM or PM for your wake-up call. We've had great success with having Mickey call (as opposed to Stitch) when setting ours at odd times (i.e., 6:33 instead of 6:30)

So it's not a guarantee you'll get Mickey or any other character? princess:

When I stayed at Pop Century last year there was a button on the phone and I did it everyday. It was a prerecorded voice and it was Mickey every day.

My DD wasn't too impressed but I got a kick out of it. If I rememember correctly the message went something like this:

"Hey Pal Wake up there's big doings today"

we had mickey this past may when we stayed at the pop- of course its always me answering the phone.

We've only had Mickey in about 20 calls. Now I feel cheated and may sit around the room getting wake-up calls at a bunch of off hours.

At POFQ in May I only got the Stitch calls with Mickey right at the end. Now I feel cheated! I SO missed my Mickey calls.

We stayed at the WL over Easter. We got alternating characters - one day it was Mickey, one day it wass Stitch and Mickey.

Last May I had 6 morning of Stitch and Mickey. I was hoping for Donald - never heard him.

Before they changed to Stitch and Mickey, we only got Mickey. Since the change it's only been Stitch and Mickey. We have only gone during pretty low times. It sounds like the other characters make an appearance during higher crowd times

We stayed during the ESPN at MGM studios, it was awful, a commercial for sports!! Talk about disappointing!! Not the way I wanted to wake up, I would take an annoying stitch over that wake up call!! I kept hoping, but nope, it was previewing espn, then it was espn then we went home!

When we stayed at the BWV's the first of May we had Stitch wake up calls every morning. It was awful! It was loud and you couldn't make out what he was saying/screaming! I really hope they take Stitch away and keep the traditional characters. I really miss and want Mickey!

We have been to Disney several times, and a Mickey wake-up call is the only thing that will get my DD out of bed.

we've done wake up calls, but it has never been mickey or any other character for that matter. :sad2: it was just dead silence. we were hoping for one of those calls, so we would wait on the phone a bit to see if maybe we were hanging up to soon. but.... still no mickey.

do you specifically have to ask for a "Mickey Wake up call" when requesting one?

thanks

We always get Mickey. The secret is to make the wake-up call at an odd time. If you want to get up at 7am then make it for 7:03 or 6:57. I have never gotten anything but Mickey doing it this way. If you are getting dead silence then stay on the line for a few more seconds. I've noticed that it sometimes it takes a minute for Mickey to actually talk. Big doings today pal so let's get moving!

I am so old I remeber the first time he woke me up he said something like
"Hi this is mickey time to wake up"!
