Mickey Waffles

Hi we are going to the world soon and we are looking for breakfast restaurants that serve either mickey waffles or pancakes for kids with allergies. When we were there last all we got was Van waffles and though they are great to provide those I am looking for something special. I know not many places carry the waffles because they need to be made on a dedicated waffle maker. I was just checking to see if anyone here has received them lately.

Me me me!!!! I was just at WDW last week with my milk, egg, peanut and tree nut allergic son! We got Mickey Waffles (note that they use the gluten free mix, my son didn't mind!) We had 3 TS breakfasts.

Crystal Palace - the chef said he knew we were coming so he made special pancake batter. I asked for pancakes AND waffles and got Van's waffles and pancakes.

Cape May - I asked for Waffles and got Mickey Waffles!! It was a pleasant surprise, I was expecting Van's after our CP experience!

Ohana - They offered waffles and brought out 4 Mickey waffles and a PILE of bacon (Jeremy LOVES bacon)

The other place (non-breakfast) that I want to mention even though you didn't ask is Toy Story Pizza Planet. They were able to make a soy cheese safe pizza for my son!!! I was going to go somewhere else figuring they wouldn't be able to accommodate my son, but my husband made me ask. And they had a chef on site and he said it would be a little wait, but Jeremy got to eat pizza!!!!

I had them at Artist Palate in Saratoga Springs. There are pics in my May Dining Review. I'm sure if you have somewhere particular in mind, you could always call ahead and ask. Have a great trip!

I know they have the mickey waffles at Crystal Palace. Dunno about the allergies though. You can always call ahead of time to check what they can make for you.

You didn't list your particular allergies so obviously we can't say if the ones they make are safe or not. WDW uses Bob's Red Mill gluten free pancake and waffle mix, or at least they still did in February. They should be able to make them egg free if that's something you need (apple sauce is a wonderful thing). They always make ours with soy milk though they do also carry Pacific rice milk if you can't do soy. Every place we've eaten has been able to make waffles that are gluten and milk free for us. They all had gluten free dedicated Mickey waffle presses. In the past few years, we've gotten waffles at the food courts at Pop and SSR as well as at 1900 Park Fare, Cape May, Tusker House and Crystal Palace. I can't think of where else. For the most part, we eat breakfast at our hotel so we haven't tried at many restaurants.
