Mickey Waffle Maker??

Hi, I recieved a Mickey waffle maker by VillaWare (purchased at the Disney Store) for Christmas. Well it does not seem to get hot enough and the light does not come on again for a while after it has been opened. (the light should come on to indicate it has cooled down, and to let me know how long to bake it) Anyway I think it may be defective and I will be returning it. Has anyone else had problems with this maker?? Also, does anyone know if they sell the same name brand (VillaWare) in WDW or is it a different one??Mine is one big Mickey head, I know at one time they sold one that made the smaller Mickey heads (and this is the one I would prefer!) I have wanted one of these for years and always thought that they cost too much, but my daughter got this one for half-price at the Disney Store.Do any other stores sell them?? Or are they available online?? Any help or input would be appreciated!!! Thank You! Happy New Year! Joan

Sorry I don't have any experience with them, but have always thought I'd like to have one. Could it just be that there is a problem with this one and that it just needs to be exchanged? Sorry I'm no more help, hopefully others will respond that has had experience with these.

I have had my waffle maker for a year or so now and never use the light indicator. Just plug it in and let it heat up....the way to tell when the waffles are done is that the steam will stop coming off the iron. They should cook in about 3 - 4 minutes....

I've had mine for a year now too, and have had no problems with it. My light turns on a minute or so after I pour in the batter, and I cook them for an additional 30 seconds or so after the light turns off. Perhaps yours is just a bum one? As far as I know Villaware is the only brand that makes a Mickey Waffler.
