Does anybody know where I can find items for a unity sand ceremony with Mickey mouse on them? Even if it's just one vase that I could use with 2 little vases on the side that I can find else where.. I'd really appreciate it! I wanna use them for my ceremony but can't find much anywhere..

Also, anybody know where I can find a ringbearer pillow too? That isn't just white? =] Thanks!

Etching is really pretty simple, the hardest part is just finding a stencil you like or *attempting* to make one yourself. The simpler the design the better if you're making your own. Make sure the glass is clean and the stencil is on there REALLY well and apply etching compound as directed. I'd practice a few times first, but it's not too bad!

Thanks! We'll see how it goes if I decide to go that route! =]

I'm unfamiliar with the sand ceremony. How large do the vases need to be? Would something like the following work?

or

or this may be nice without the lid

Hopefully that helps trigger the creative juices :yay:

I'm not sure as to how big either I would think a decent size. The first one is adorable! =] I'm definitely thinking now.. hehe.. I may just make my own..

Thanks! =] Is it difficult to do the etching yourself?

I bought little mirrors at a local craft store for about .99 cents to practice on. We tried 2 different techniques to etch 1 you pant on a chemical and a different kind you basically blast the glass with sand. Both were very easy to use. I liked the look of the sand one more (I highly recommend you do this outside as it does get all over the place). Also when I put the stencil on the glass I used spray adhesive on the back just to make sure it was in place really good.

This is the sand etching kit we used http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/sand-etch-starter-kit-181164/

I also have heard of people using a "frost" paint which can make something appear to be etched. I have not tried it though.
