Needing ideas for goodies to give for the holidays!! We are doing a Mickey/Disney theme since we just got back from wedding/disneymoon in Oct.. I am planning on making the Mickey Head rice krispie treats with red and green sprinkles on the hat portion. I was thinking of making mickey head fudge, by using the ice cube mold. Any ideas are appreciated. Also, if anyone has any cute ideas on what to put them in would be great! We are making them for DHs 50 plus employees and our families.

Thanks!!!!!
AMY

Maybe you can find the mickey head suckers at walmart? I've heard of a lot of people finding them (I can't). You could put it all in a basket and tie with disney ribbon. I'd try to find some sort of basket at the dollar tree or somewhere cheap, since you are buying so many. You could also bake brownies and cut in mickey head shapes with the same cookie cutter you are using for the rice crispy treats. Maybe you can find some mickey tissue paper for the basket, or just buy a mickey punch and make some mickey confetti to add to the basket.

I got some pretty christmas type baskets at teh dollar tree. They had red, green, silver and blue. You could use red for the mickey themed basket and tie with black and yellow riboon :confused3

Just throwing some ideas at you. Oh you could make sugar cookies and again use the mickey cookie cutter.

I bought a mickey head cookie cutter at DW and I make brownies and cookies for the kids all the time.

Great idea!!!! I could cut out the brownies and decorate them in christmas colors. Love the idea about the baskets. The thing I was wondering about, how will they stay fresh? I have used tins in the past. I was thinking of something in that nature; he will keep them in the office for a few days. The tins always kept things fresh.I was thinking about making a mickey head ornament with the year on it for decoration. I could put that on top with a cute mickey tag. I had read in another thread last night about how to make mickey head ornaments; gluing small pompoms on for ears. Doesn't that sound adorable!!!!!!!

I was wondering if small cellophene bags would work for each goodie? Tie a cute ribbon at the bottom and place in the basket. I started thinking about the basket; really like the idea of red baskets. Then have the ornaments hanging off of it. I am getting a little creative here. That means trouble....for me and the pocketbook. Oh, well, as long as they look cute. I just want to make sure its edible, looks good, and is memorable.

You could use the Christmas rice Krispies to make the Mickey rice Krispies. Put a popsicle stick in them like at WDW. Wrap them in the large sucker bags or cellophane and tie with cute Christmas ribbon or Mickey ribbon. If you can't find Mickey ribbon you like you could always by red or green ribbon and stamp a saying or little Mickey heads on it. Then stick those down in a basket that has the foam in it so they will stand up. Cover the foam in shreaded red and green foil. I think I may have to try one of these.

I would love to see your ornament when you get done with it. Did you see a picture or was someone just telling you about it?

I just bought 80 small ornaments and little white sparkley pom poms at walmart. The ornaments were 20 for $1.88 and 60 pompoms for $2.00. I also bought some pretty thin silver ribbon to tie on the ornaments, so they can use that to hang on tree. I read about the ornaments when i did a search on ornaments. Also found an adorable wreath idea. @ small wreaths as ears and a bigger one for the head. It was adorable. I attempted to price them, but I saw one similar in the disney catalog. It would have cost me a fortune to make one myself. The one in the catalog lights up. Very cute. I am doing a Disney theme christmas this year. Trying to get some cute ideas.

Aww, the ornaments are going to be cute (I think I was the one that posted that idea on the other thread). I want to see a picture when you are done! Maybe me and DS can make some this year. What color are the ornaments? Those all seem like good prices. YOu will be able to make a lot for very cheap! I love the idea!!!

ok....the ornaments are done and they are ADORABLE!!!!!!!!
I used red ornaments and white sparkley pompoms for ears. I then tied a silver ribbon through the hanger. I am very pleased. I am debating on what to put on the ornaments, like "2005" or "Happy Holidays". I am psyched to start on another project now. Too early for candy/cookie making. So, if anyone has any ideas let me know!!!! I don't think I am the scrapbooking type.

We want PICTURES!!!!! :Pinkbounc

I'd put the year on it because then it will always be remembered. Plus its easier, than writing happy holidays.
