I've seen some photos on here of a cake that is shaped like a Mickey head. Does anyone know if I can get that at the GF, or is it only at the Boardwalk Bakery?
You might be able to order it to have it delivered to your room? I had a Mickey shaped cake (not as grand as the ones at boardwalk) given to me at a Birthday meal at Boma's.
My parents surprised me with one for my 21st birthday. We were staying at the Boardwalk Villas, so I assume they got it at the Boardwalk Bakery. It was adorable and so, so good!
I would like to know the prices, also. I'm thinking that the evening we go to ESPN Club we would pick up a cake to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday. I thought that would be a great time since we will be at the Boardwalk area and we don't plan on desserts at ESPN anyway.
Since my parents bought it, I don't know the cost. However, last year we ordered a small round cake at Narcoossee's and it was about $15. This being larger and a specialty cake I am sure it is a lot more. We had 8 people at my birthday dinner and we still had a significant amount left over. It's vacation, you should go for it!
Do you think they would let me buy the cake at the Boardwalk Bakery, and take it to 1900 Park Fare for dessert? Would it matter, as long as we're already having dinner at Park Fare?
We had a Mickey head cake at 1900 Park Faire a few years ago. We were staying at the Sugar Loaf Concierge at GF. It was pretty expensive and really didn't taste as good as the $10 cake we got at Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch. You could call 1900 PF and see if you can get a cake there.
