~Amanda

Yes that's it! The kids smile makes ALL the planning, and stress from planning, worth it! Even though now that I have been, it will be easy to plan next time as I know what to expect. Thanks :)

Yea!!:cool1: You started your TR. I love the pictures of your kids. You can tell by their faces that they are just in awe of everything around them. I can't wait to read the next day when everyone isn't so tired. :)

Thank you...glad you like the pics. Yes they were just OVER joyed! I'll be posting day 2 hopefully tonight when I get off. Yep....back to the real world.

I just found your TR, and let me tell you, it's great!

Your family's excitement shows. And your kids are adorable! Can't wait to read more.

BTW, isn't that first sight of the castle just AWESOME??!!!

Welcome aboard!
Oh there are NO WORDS for the first sight of the castle.....WOW....just amazing. :lovestruc :cloud9:

Awwwwwwwwwwww, such great first day pics! Seeing the start of all your fun brings tears to my eyes! I can't wait to take Karatemom's family in January!

Oh my goodness - you started already!
I LOVE the picture of the kids with Piglet - what a nice shot!
You didn't miss anything with the Astro Orbiter. It is more nauseous than the teacups I think!
What did the kids say when they got to the park and saw the castle?

PS - I'm sorry to hear about the PFO - we never like it when anything is wrong with our boys, especially with their hearts. It's great though that he can continue to do sports - I think my brother would say hockey was one of the best things in his life and made him feel like he could overcome any obstacle. Sending hugs your way and more prayers!

I am just luving your tr. You are off to a great start. Crystal Palace is wonderful isnt it? :thumbsup2

You and your whole family looked wonderful with your MIckey gear I cant wait to hear more.

BTW... You baby will be in my prayers. I am sure all will be fine. And that is great that he doesnt have to stop the sports :)

I just found your Pre-TR/TR tonight and started reading and couldn't stop :) You're family is precious and I was so excited for ya'll! I'm going this Jan with my family and it will be my cousins (3&4 yr olds) first time to WDW! I can't wait to see the look on their faces. By your first trip reports it seems that ya'll had a fantastic time:yay:
I can honestly say, "I know how you feel" in regards to motion sickness because I have experienced that a lot due to some health issues. And, I will for sure be praying for your little boy and your family.
I noticed that you had one of my favorite things on your list: Liberty Tree Tavern. I love eating here especially with the characters. I'm sure I'll read about it later but did you enjoy it? I also love Toy Story in tomorrow land..it's so much fun! Oh, and your picture of the castle was great :) I love taking pictures of the castle especially at night! It's one of my favorite spots at WDW.
Were you able to get some ice cream on main street?

Okay, sorry I kept rambling on and asking so many questions, I was just soooo excited! I can't wait to read more about your magical time at WDW!!!

Hi and welcome!

Thank you for praying for us.

We LOVED Liberty Tree Tavern...food and all! My dd Janiya was a little annoyed by Dale playing in her hair each time he walked by:laughing: I'll tell more in a bit about that visit:thumbsup2

I THINK the place we got ice cream from was on Main Street....I have to check.

Thank you everyone for the continued prayers for my son. We need them and really appreciate them. It means alot to me for you all to join us in praying!

Now on to a vent...ok the fridge swap I was "apart" of...

I had to pay a portion of a cost to help repurchase a new fridge because when I joined, the old fridge was lost. I had no problem with that because $7 is nothing to have a fridge for a week, so I did it. Everything was going good until someone joined a swap WAY after I did for a few days before I arrived. Our trips overlapped one another, but I was ASSURED that she would give the fridge to me, and btw, by the time THIS person came into the swap, the new fridge was purchased, so free to her. So I arrive and called her NUMEROUS times to get the fridge...each time I was told she was sending it via bell services. Well needless to say I never got the fridge....and I KNEW it was going to happen. I felt it in my gut from the start of this person joining the swap....Because she was aware when I was arriving...yet PMs me asking me when I needed it! DUH ....when I get there like originally planned...nothing changed just because YOU joined!

So I know it was just $7, but it was MY $7 that I contributed towards this fridge that I never got to utilize....I paid for the OTHER woman to enjoy it for a week and then I turned around and had to PAY for one at the All Stars! On top of ALL this....the coordinator tell me I can't get my money back because it was a risk. That's bogus! I know fridges get lost and THAT"S a risk I knew about, but NOT the risk of someone joining WAY afte me and just plain old NOT giving it up! I hope she ( the person who kept the fridge) knows Karma doesn't always come back in the way you give it, so she can garauntee she's getting it back! Then she lies to the coordinator and tells her she told me to come get the fridge at 1:30...BULL! So I would NOT come get the fridge and let my milk sour like it did and just resort to renting one from the resort ...yeah THAT makes sense:rolleyes: I am just more peeved now more than I was initially because she's not being a woman about it and is LYING about it. Ok vent over...and I don't need anyone telling me it was a risk, I KNOW that, and that's why I rented one instead of keep calling this woman when at 10pm, it was CLEAR to me she wasn't giving it up, BUT it still is MORALLY wrong....and that's why I feel I have the right to be upset. People are greedy!

Sorry about the fridge drama. We did a fridge swap for the first time this year and we also ran into some problems. Not nearly as bad as yours, but bad enough that it will be my last. I don't ever want to go through that again.

That's awful that someone would lie or cheat someone out of something that they knew wasn't right, but as you stated Karma will find her.
We need a fridge but was told by our AAA agent that we should get one free due to medical reasons, so we didn't check inot the swap.

I've thought about doing a TR...I might...I still have to finish getting my pics together! I just edited all of the photopass pics from the share I joined last night...very time consuming!

Sorry about the fridge swap gone bad. I was mad at myself for not joining a fridge swap. We ended up bringing a cooler since we drove and kept it well stocked with ice and that worked for us. After reading all of the bad stories, I'm glad I didn't join one!

The frig. story is a bummer.
I am honest and I expect others to be also,
but it does not always work that way.
You have a right to be upset.
On a happy note ---
glad you vacation was all you and your family dreamed of.

:cool1:

Sorry about your fridge drama. That is just crazy. I have often considered buying into the swaps, but now I think that I will just do what I have to do another way. You handled it well :o)

I so agree with you Karma will get this woman .. shame on her ..sounds like she needs a Dis board smack down ....
hugs ....

I am sorry also that you to go through that with the fridge swap.

So I planned for us to spend our second day at Epcot. I found that this was my favorite park:woohoo:

We left for the park at around 9 am. On our way to the bus, we HAD to get a picture with thiese statues at the resort. Luckily there was a couple there already, so they offered to get a shot of all of us, so here it is

We are all there...DJ is in the background in the hammock :)

We hop on the bus and we were on our way! When we got there we were fascinated by the sight of the ball

And what else got us all excited?

DisneyWorldDay2Epcot8-12-2008017.jpg

MONORAIL!!!!!!!!!:yay:

After we ooooohed and ahhhhhhed over these for a few minutes, we picked up our stroller ( rented one for the week...just in case) and our map and were off!

The kids wanted to do the Journey into Imagination with Figment. The line was 20 minutes, but that was fine. There was no flash photography in this ride, so no pics inside, but when we got off and was in the "What if" labs.....

DisneyWorldDay2Epcot8-12-2008050.jpg

There was that big camera taking pics of those who walked by, and here's a pic of ours

Janiya REALLLLLLLLLY enjoyed this
DisneyWorldDay2Epcot8-12-2008064.jpg

As she moved on each pad on the floor, it made sounds like the instrument she stepped on.

We played around for a while in there before the kids were ready to move on.
I asked them what they wanted to do next and they said Nemo, so there we went

We all enjoyed that ride....so cute! When we got off, we HAD to get this one...
DisneyWorldDay2Epcot8-12-2008106.jpg

Why is my dh taking a pic of this tragedy.....a shark ate our children:rotfl:

We headed over to Soarin....We LOVED it!!! :woohoo: It was just awesome!!!!!! We then had a CS meal in the food court....and we enjoyed the food there alot.

After lunch we headed over to Innoventions...where the first thing we did was

This was the little house inside that you played the game to find all the hidden fir hazards in the house. After enjoying the game, I had the children go over to the little informative session where the lady taught them how to escape a fire. Here they are in the pretend house and the fire senario

Nique pretending to be asleep before the "fire"

The "fire alarm" ( the parents saying beep beep beep ) went off and Kendyl took off immediately!!!

And here's a video of Ky's escape :) He was trying so hard to get out the window :lmao:

And after we did the house, they were DYING to get to this fire truck and check it out
