Mickey Mouse here we come. The Porters PTR-TR *DAY 5 in progress pg 27*

Yay!!! You're packing and it's almost time to go. Your kids must be so excited!!!

I never lock my luggage either. But I think if you want to lock them, you have to get TSA approved locks.

Your family is so beautiful! I am so glad I found this thread. You are making me excited for you!
I love those personalized maps you found - excellent!
Your target finds are so cute - I love the germ blaster and the shout wipes (we don't have those here - I'll have to grab some next time we drive to Buffalo.) good for drippy, messy mickey bars and 2 year old boys who don't like being dirty or sticky. And your dress is so cute! I want to go shopping now. And pack!
The video made me cry too and I have seen it before! I think it's because of Mickey. Oh, that reminds me, I was trying to think of tips for a first timer. Arrange a wake up call and let Khyri and Kendyl answer the phone together the first morning!

PS. thanks for reminding me about the magical express

I can't wait to hear all about your trip! Best wishes for a magical time!

Now I'm curious as to what was stolen! I'm betting it was undies? People are crazy!!!

And I said I was only doing Kendyl and Khyri....well....that has turned into Kendyl, Khyri, Dominique and Janiya! WOOHOO! Why not...it's laundry day. MAy as well get that stuff in the suitcases now :) So I only have DJ, myself and Joseph ( dh) to pack now! I'm DEFINATELY gonna wait for that ( who are we kidding!!!)

GIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL...:rolleyes1

Now wait ONE minute!!!!! I can't believe you all have been chatting with ME!!!! ME????? I'm LATE to this party too?!!!! HUH!!!! :snooty:
Well, MadiMouse, thanks for giving me the heads up! :thumbsup2:

Tosha, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the family pics in the intro! Your family is soooo cute! I would love to have a big family like you!

I don't know if MadiMouse told you, but I have the same Mickey dress like you! I wore it when MadiMouse and I went to WDW in June!

I thought I looked like a big Dork in it, but my fellow DISers assured me that I didn't! So I'll probably wear it again when I go back in Sept with my Mom. (But this time I'll iron it so she won't yell at me! Ha!)

I am getting excited :cool1: for you and your family. I was last down in January and not going back until Sept. It feels like years since I have seen the Mouse.

You are lucky too! TWO Disney trips for you too? YOu all may influence me to do the same  I can't wait to hear about YOUR trip in September.

Yay!!! You're packing and it's almost time to go. Your kids must be so excited!!!

I never lock my luggage either. But I think if you want to lock them, you have to get TSA approved locks.

The kids say " DANG ma, you are TOO happy" So I think that's the indication that I am the most excited:rotfl: I jumped up and down when I put our yellow tags on the two luggages that I packed yesterday...literally like this :yay: And that's when the kids told me that

I think we will dismiss the lock idea.

Ok now I'm more curious than ever :lmao:

But I'm already sure I think ;) People are so crazy to take people's personal things, but that's life, huh? LOL

I've decided to dismiss the lock idea....that is unless we go to Montego Bay

Great minds think alike :thumbsup2 The dress looks adorable on you! I was :lmao: when you said you thought you would look like a dork. It;s a fun and cute dress...that thought never crossed my mind! Now my delima is shoes! I need some shoes to go with it.

And girl go ahead...have a big family like me :) It's fun! Even a day like today when everyone is going MAD, LOL, it's still fun.

So I should take notes while in the parks? I planned on writting everything as soon as I got back to the resort, but if you mean take my notebook with, then I will do! Let me know :)

Oh my word! I have a TEENAGER:scared: Dun Dun DUN!!!!!

My sweet little boy has become a teenager today. A true indication of such.....he doesn't want to do the family thing today...he wants to go to the movie with his friends:sad1:

I'ts so bittersweet for me. My little punkin' boy is now a big for....officially a TEEN :sad2: I don't like it but I know I have to let go a wee bit.

Shoes for your dress: Cleo Crocs! They are cute and comfy. Right now, they are on shoebuy and I THINK if you type in "SHOEBUY", you'll get 10% off. Both MadiMouse and I have a pair. And I JUST ordered another pair in black for my next trip!

Taking Notes: Find a small notepad that will fit in your park bag! When you have some down time, or in a long line, jot down some notes.

Trip Report: Yes, I wrote a report about mine and MM's trip! Here's the link:

Happy belated birthday DJ!!

Thank you for the birthday wishes for my big boy :)

I showed him and he said " Who's that? : who's that? How do they know it's my birthday" ahhhhhh just like dh who doesn't understand :)

WE ARE 14 DAYS AWAY FROM EXPERIENCING DISNEY FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Joy and excitement is unspeakable!

On the other hand, I am getting very nervous about the flight. This is our first time flying:scared: Well dh has flown only once before. I am going to buy a pack of UNO cards. We enjoy the heck out of playing games together, so hopefully that will calm me down a bbit. Dominique is also nervous, so I have to be strong for her. :scared:

I see everyone speak highly of the misting fans. The ones I have are just regular handheld fans. Should I put out the money for a upgrade to misting, or will our sweating be misting enough? :lmao:

I've never had one, but my DNiece and DNephew had one last year and it became a bit annoying. :rotfl2: They kept coming in my face and spraying it! :scared:

Don't you hate that when you have to be brave for you kids?!
;)

I think the fans you got are adorable. You may get talked into an impulse purchase by the kids though. They are refreshing because they fill them with ice at the carts but they are huge, heavy and drippy from the condensation. There are so many cool souvenirs at Disney. I would say save the money for those and take the cute little ones. They also have little splash pads and misting stations the kids can play in.

Another good tip I learned (souvenirs can get really pricey, especially for five so I found it helps to say "kids, you get to choose one or two cool souvenirs for the trip." Then, they really think about what they want and you get a lot less whining for "Mum, can I have that?" My DD picked a Mulan dress up polly pocket type set and a sucker. My sister felt that the sucker wasn't a fair choice though and got her a mickey mouse bracelet. Can't wait for you!

But I'm not. Disney is just 12 days away and that's still GREAT news for the kids, but my dh and I are worried sick....literally. I can't eat and can barely sleep.

Yesterday I took my baby boys to the doctor for their yearly check up. Khyri is one month late for his yearly ( bday 6/28) and Kendyl is one month early for his ( bday 8/24) but one month will not make or break anything, so no one is complaining but me.

The kids all went to a pedi that I've had for a while, but for reasons I don't want to speak about ( only because it may seem I'm being a bit mean and gossipy) I decided to switch their doctor to the same doctor dh and I see. She's a family practice doctor and we just adore her! This was their first visit to her.

So they took the boys vitals, weigh, the usual. Khyri who is 3 weighs 35 pounds and is 38 inches. Kendyl, who will be 5, is 37 pounds and 41 inches......he is so small for his age that he isn't even on the charts. I always knew he was small....my mom affectionately calls him "Tiny Tim" but I thought othing of it because dh is 5' 7 and not big ( I won't say his weigh...I don't have permission  ) and I am 5' 4 1/2 and afetr having 5 kids I am 145... which still isn't big, so I just kinda strugged it to him coming from smaller parents.

Well my doctor left out the room after checking Kendyl's heart beat and came in with another doctor, who shook her head as if to agree with my doctor. My doctor then tells us we need to take Kendyl in for a Echocardiogram and EKG ASAP. He has a prominent heart murmur and an arrythmia ( I am a cardiac tech, so I know that some arrythmias are nothing, but most are bad :( ) She even called a specialty childrens hospital down the street from the hospital we go for care and tried to get him in, but the soonest they could get him in, even though my doctor told them it'sof high importance, is NEXT Thursday. I'm so worried about my baby.

He was born with a murmur in which the old pedi said was closed at 2 months. Well obviously these two other doctors hear it very well. I'm just sick with fear. The pedi that I speak of...yeah...I'm rather TICKED at her to say the least. This isn't the only major thing she has disappointed me with. Last year Kendyl swallowed a screw from his toy truck ( yes you read that right:scared1: ) and told me it's no big deal and I later take him to the ER because it wasn't sitting well with me....well.....I took him and when they did a Xray, they were getting ready to prep him for surgery  I was scared and then demanded him to get transferred to a childrens hospital if he was going to go under the knife. By the time we got to the new hospital, the screw had traveled to his intestines with NO problem ( the were going in for surgery because they said if it traveled outside the stomach, it would rip his insides up) and the doctor said in his exact words " Someone's watching over this little guy from above" Well I told you all that to say I am less than pleased with the old pedi, especially if something is wrong with my little man's heart.

I don't know the religius background of any of you, but if you pray, PLEASE keep my little man in your prayers :sad1:

 I'm sorry you're having to go through this. And I won't even bother saying don't get worked up until you get the test results..b/c I know you already are! Just know I'm thinking of you guys and I'll definitely keep Kendyl in my prayers.

You and Kendyl are in my prayers. I know how stressful heart problems are in a family. My brother was born with Tetrology of Fallow (missing a valve) and has had about a dozen open heart surgeries. When he was little he was so thin and tiny, he used to go blue when he got tired, but he pulled through great and just shot up at about 14 and he is now 6'4"and a goalie!

Someone is watching over this little guy from above!
Just think how much better you will feel knowing everything is okay with him before you all go away. And if he needs meds or anything, you will have them with you. Good for you for going for a second opinion and not trusting to care you were uncertain about - I always think a Mum has a sixth sense about stuff like this. He is going to be just great, you'll see!

Your little boy is definitely in my thoughts. I am sure it will be okay!
