Mickey Mouse here we come. The Porters PTR-TR *DAY 5 in progress pg 27*

 I'm sorry you're having to go through this. And I won't even bother saying don't get worked up until you get the test results..b/c I know you already are! Just know I'm thinking of you guys and I'll definitely keep Kendyl in my prayers.

Thank you Julie.

The only reason I'm afraid is because when he was born and had the murmur, they said it was sorta big and that it was possible he may need meds and even a later option of surgery. Well imagine the joy when the pedi told us it was closed 2 months later. Well then now, almost 5 years later, another doctor hears it prominently......in my mind it means back to square one.

I need to wait for the doggone results, but my mind is already preparing for the worst :(

You and Kendyl are in my prayers. I know how stressful heart problems are in a family. My brother was born with Tetrology of Fallow (missing a valve) and has had about a dozen open heart surgeries. When he was little he was so thin and tiny, he used to go blue when he got tired, but he pulled through great and just shot up at about 14 and he is now 6'4"and a goalie!

Someone is watching over this little guy from above!
Just think how much better you will feel knowing everything is okay with him before you all go away. And if he needs meds or anything, you will have them with you. Good for you for going for a second opinion and not trusting to care you were uncertain about - I always think a Mum has a sixth sense about stuff like this. He is going to be just great, you'll see!

Thank you so much.

Your big-little brother ( ) is a trooper and a blessing! I am a Cardiac Tech and know all about his condition. Praises to god for his healing.

Yes it's a good thing we will know before leaving....either way. Otherwise, though everything is paid in full, we may have had to postpone. I would have been no good being in Disney wondering. It's always the guessing that makes it harder.

You will be in my prayers. And we will hope that when you go to the Dr next week it is only good news and you can do to Disney and have something else to CELEBRATE!!! If you need to vent your worries, you know we are all hear to listen to you!!!! Heres some pixie dust for you allpixiedust:

I'll second all of that. Thinking of you in a special way and praying for good results.

I just found your PTR. Your family is beautiful and I can tell it is full of love. I'm so sorry to hear about your son. I know it's hard, but try not to think the worst. That's easier said than done, I know. But just pray for good news and when you get it you can celebrate with Mickey. I will definately say a prayer for him and you. BTW, my daughter's name is Kendall.

I don't know the religius background of any of you, but if you pray, PLEASE keep my little man in your prayers :sad1:

Tosha . . . I will pray for your son, AND that Jesus will give you peace and calm till you can get to the Doctor.

And when I read this...I autonatically knew where my overwhelming sense of calm and peace came from. I am a totally new person today with all of this. I was bawling my eyes out the last couple days but today, I'm at peace and feel like all is well. Thank you SO much.

Your family is in my prayers.

Thank you!

You all, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. I have really felt them working. Today I am so calm and in good spirits. The last two days have been really messy for me as far as the tears and pure panic. I'm fine today and I pray the peace stays with me. I don't even know what's what and I was already in a panic frenzy. Thank you all again

My little man woke up today and said " are we going to Disney World today?" With a HUGE smile, so that got me all excited about Disney again...so with that comes my next post!!!!

Thank you for the birthday wishes for my big boy :)

I showed him and he said " Who's that? : who's that? How do they know it's my birthday" ahhhhhh just like dh who doesn't understand :)

WE ARE 14 DAYS AWAY FROM EXPERIENCING DISNEY FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Joy and excitement is unspeakable!

On the other hand, I am getting very nervous about the flight. This is our first time flying:scared: Well dh has flown only once before. I am going to buy a pack of UNO cards. We enjoy the heck out of playing games together, so hopefully that will calm me down a bbit. Dominique is also nervous, so I have to be strong for her. :scared:

Hi,

I am was just lurking and found your post. WELCOME TO THE WORLD of DISNEY !!!! I see that you are taking your first flight. Trust me, all will be fine. I HATE flying but dh and dd6love it and they think nothing of it. But ME.... I am a nervous wrek. I normally take my iPod and watch some videos or movies, and sometimes I take the personal dvd player and that normally helps me a bit. But playing the games is a great idea!!! When we fly I pretend that I am cool with it because my daughter thinks that flying is wonderful. We fly twice a year to disnsy and you would think that I would be used to it by now .... NO!!

We were there in March (A Total surprise for my dd - because it was her last trip as an only child - I was 5.5 months pregnant) She didnt know we were going until we got to the airport after we picked her up from school that day. If you have any questions at all please feel free to let me know. I love Disney and so does my hubby. Twice a year for the last 5 years.. We got hooked immediately. I have eaten at all of the restaurants you are going to.

Have a GREAT trip!!! :woohoo:

But I'm not. Disney is just 12 days away and that's still GREAT news for the kids, but my dh and I are worried sick....literally. I can't eat and can barely sleep.

Yesterday I took my baby boys to the doctor for their yearly check up. Khyri is one month late for his yearly ( bday 6/28) and Kendyl is one month early for his ( bday 8/24) but one month will not make or break anything, so no one is complaining but me.

The kids all went to a pedi that I've had for a while, but for reasons I don't want to speak about ( only because it may seem I'm being a bit mean and gossipy) I decided to switch their doctor to the same doctor dh and I see. She's a family practice doctor and we just adore her! This was their first visit to her.

So they took the boys vitals, weigh, the usual. Khyri who is 3 weighs 35 pounds and is 38 inches. Kendyl, who will be 5, is 37 pounds and 41 inches......he is so small for his age that he isn't even on the charts. I always knew he was small....my mom affectionately calls him "Tiny Tim" but I thought othing of it because dh is 5' 7 and not big ( I won't say his weigh...I don't have permission  ) and I am 5' 4 1/2 and afetr having 5 kids I am 145... which still isn't big, so I just kinda strugged it to him coming from smaller parents.

Well my doctor left out the room after checking Kendyl's heart beat and came in with another doctor, who shook her head as if to agree with my doctor. My doctor then tells us we need to take Kendyl in for a Echocardiogram and EKG ASAP. He has a prominent heart murmur and an arrythmia ( I am a cardiac tech, so I know that some arrythmias are nothing, but most are bad :( ) She even called a specialty childrens hospital down the street from the hospital we go for care and tried to get him in, but the soonest they could get him in, even though my doctor told them it'sof high importance, is NEXT Thursday. I'm so worried about my baby.

He was born with a murmur in which the old pedi said was closed at 2 months. Well obviously these two other doctors hear it very well. I'm just sick with fear. The pedi that I speak of...yeah...I'm rather TICKED at her to say the least. This isn't the only major thing she has disappointed me with. Last year Kendyl swallowed a screw from his toy truck ( yes you read that right:scared1: ) and told me it's no big deal and I later take him to the ER because it wasn't sitting well with me....well.....I took him and when they did a Xray, they were getting ready to prep him for surgery  I was scared and then demanded him to get transferred to a childrens hospital if he was going to go under the knife. By the time we got to the new hospital, the screw had traveled to his intestines with NO problem ( the were going in for surgery because they said if it traveled outside the stomach, it would rip his insides up) and the doctor said in his exact words " Someone's watching over this little guy from above" Well I told you all that to say I am less than pleased with the old pedi, especially if something is wrong with my little man's heart.

I don't know the religius background of any of you, but if you pray, PLEASE keep my little man in your prayers :sad1:
You guys are in my prayers :o). My new ds (now 6 weeks old) was diagnosed with a heart murmur and it hasnt closed yet and we go back in Jan. Anyway after 3 EKGs in the hosp and in the dr office, they determined that the two holes seem to be closing (so we will see). He also has some other issues, but hes good though.

But I understand the fear, but I am sure all will be great.

Thank you! CAn I see a bigger pic Of Ms. MinnieMadi? That pic is adorable in your avi, but I can barely see it :)

Okay, you asked for it! Here are some pics of Ms. Curly Hair Diva!
