Mickey Mouse Handwriting?

Hi

I've finally convinced my sister and her husband to bring their daughter (my niece) to Disney World with us this September. She will turn 6 in November.

Now that the trip is booked, I have a post card from Disney World that I wanted to send my niece that has Mickey & Minnie on the front and I wanted to write something simple like "See you in September" on it and send it to her so she thinks it's from Mickey or Minnie.

Do you know where I can find a sample of either Mickey or Minnie's handwriting so I can try to duplicate it?

I also have various other little gifts (sunglasses, Disney dollars, etc) that I'm planning to send her leading up to our trip so she'll think it's actually from Mickey. I would have to send a little note each time and want them to all look the same.

My concern is if I just write it in my own handwriting and then when we're there she gets some autographs, I don't want her to think "how come it looks so different from the postcards and letters I got before the trip?".

I may be worrying over nothing and she's a child so may not notice something like this, but I thought it would be best to cover all bases.

I also thought of just using maybe word and printing a label to stick on it so it's a generic handwriting, but then thought would Mickey Mouse do that?

When Mickey Mouse signs an autograph book does he just use a stamp or actually sign? I'm thinking with the big hands he may just use a stamp so his handwriting isn't something she would ever get to see.

You probably think I'm a bit nuts, but figured if anyone would understand and have suggestions it would be here. When I mentioned this concern to other, non Disney fanatics, they thought I was nuts.

My husband and I will be in Disney in June too and I wonder if maybe a cast member at the hotel would have something I could use.

Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

If you are going to be there in June, why don't you just get Mickey to sign the postcard for you? Then you can put in the mail there and it will actually be coming from Disney World!

You can also go to the Fairy Godmailer sticky at the top of the Family Board and ask someone that is there to send your niece a postcard from Disney!

Have a great trip!

We sent out newletters for out wedding and found font to download to our computer that looks like the traditional Disney font. We did a google search for free download font and it popped up. The site we used is dafont.com The font is called Waltograph and this site comes with directions on how to download it onto your computer so that it will be a font choice for Word, or Publisher or whatever program you want to use. We got the BEST feedback from the font, everyone really loved it and I think it would definitely pass for "Mickey's" handwriting!

Thank you both for the great advice.

I usually travel to Disney with just adults so this will be a pretty new experience for us.

We did one trip a few years ago with friends who had kids, but they were at their own hotel and we just met up occassionally.

Since my sister and her family will be staying with us, we'll definitely be spending more time seeing Disney through the eyes of a child.

Thanks again
Noreen

I always say that to have writing by the characters, put an oven mitt on & write. It seems to be the same!
