Hi
I've finally convinced my sister and her husband to bring their daughter (my niece) to Disney World with us this September. She will turn 6 in November.
Now that the trip is booked, I have a post card from Disney World that I wanted to send my niece that has Mickey & Minnie on the front and I wanted to write something simple like "See you in September" on it and send it to her so she thinks it's from Mickey or Minnie.
Do you know where I can find a sample of either Mickey or Minnie's handwriting so I can try to duplicate it?
I also have various other little gifts (sunglasses, Disney dollars, etc) that I'm planning to send her leading up to our trip so she'll think it's actually from Mickey. I would have to send a little note each time and want them to all look the same.
My concern is if I just write it in my own handwriting and then when we're there she gets some autographs, I don't want her to think "how come it looks so different from the postcards and letters I got before the trip?".
I may be worrying over nothing and she's a child so may not notice something like this, but I thought it would be best to cover all bases.
I also thought of just using maybe word and printing a label to stick on it so it's a generic handwriting, but then thought would Mickey Mouse do that?
When Mickey Mouse signs an autograph book does he just use a stamp or actually sign? I'm thinking with the big hands he may just use a stamp so his handwriting isn't something she would ever get to see.
You probably think I'm a bit nuts, but figured if anyone would understand and have suggestions it would be here. When I mentioned this concern to other, non Disney fanatics, they thought I was nuts.
My husband and I will be in Disney in June too and I wonder if maybe a cast member at the hotel would have something I could use.
Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Noreen
