Mickey Mouse Clubhouse toys the next rage?

I had absolutely no intentions of getting TJ Bearytales for my DS3 until I saw it in the store on display. He is really cute, and you buy different cartridges for him. Some of them come with an accessory that he holds and moves as he is telling the story. Like a camera and flashlight, and they light up and flash, etc. I'm hoping maybe he can get DS interested in books, I can't seem to myself. my daughter on the other hand is a total bookworm, that's what she's doing right now!

He might get old after a while, but not nearly as quickly as Elmo IMHO. We aren't doing the Elmo thing.

It is funny how different kids are. We have practically every Little People known to man, because DD5 was SOOO into them. DD2, could care less and just messes with them occassionally to hear the sounds they make. That is it.

She spends more time playing with the little figurines, playing with our animals and the like. She will llsten to stories sometimes, but not like DD5. She was so into books that she is already reading chapter books in Kindergarten.

This is why I am so exasperated. All the standbys just would not work for DD2. She loves to pretend and interact with puppets and such, loves Dora where she can answer questions and loves anything that plays music. This is the big draw for the ELmo Knows Your Name. It plays music, sings and talks as if it knows you. I figure that should draw her in.

She loves dolls, so I figure the Baby Alive would be good, though that she may get for her birthday... and I am trying to figure out what else. I looked at the Bearykins before and they did not have any set up. Maybe I can find a video online that shows it moving.

T.J. Bearytales is surprisingly cute. He plays a couple different games with you related to each story cartridge. You can see a video demo of him on the Playskool website. If you just go to Playskool.com you should see a TJ picture link in the lower left area. Click on that and then you can watch a demo. Hope that helps!

I found the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse($39.99) at Toys R Us weeks ago....So began the search for the interactive figurines....I have looked in every TRU and Walmart in MA and RI. I also looked on line at sears.com. I even have family that works in corp. for KB toys, and still can't get my hands on them. It was explained to me that these are going to be very hard to get this year. So I broke down and got them on ebay. Yes I did pay a little more($20 more) for them, but I had to get them for my DD3. When we were at the mall on Sunday, she told Santa (yes he is out already) that she wanted the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I figure I would have spent atleast $40 on gas just looking for the damn things!!! So now I tell myself I actually saved $$:teeth:
Anyway, if you are looking for them, I would try ebay now rather than later. I can imagine as we get closer to Christmas the ebay bidding will get out of control.

Good luck to you all!!! :
