HALEYSMOMMOM said:I had absolutely no intentions of getting TJ Bearytales for my DS3 until I saw it in the store on display. He is really cute, and you buy different cartridges for him. Some of them come with an accessory that he holds and moves as he is telling the story. Like a camera and flashlight, and they light up and flash, etc. I'm hoping maybe he can get DS interested in books, I can't seem to myself. my daughter on the other hand is a total bookworm, that's what she's doing right now!
He might get old after a while, but not nearly as quickly as Elmo IMHO. We aren't doing the Elmo thing.
It is funny how different kids are. We have practically every Little People known to man, because DD5 was SOOO into them. DD2, could care less and just messes with them occassionally to hear the sounds they make. That is it.
She spends more time playing with the little figurines, playing with our animals and the like. She will llsten to stories sometimes, but not like DD5. She was so into books that she is already reading chapter books in Kindergarten.
This is why I am so exasperated. All the standbys just would not work for DD2. She loves to pretend and interact with puppets and such, loves Dora where she can answer questions and loves anything that plays music. This is the big draw for the ELmo Knows Your Name. It plays music, sings and talks as if it knows you. I figure that should draw her in.
She loves dolls, so I figure the Baby Alive would be good, though that she may get for her birthday... and I am trying to figure out what else. I looked at the Bearykins before and they did not have any set up. Maybe I can find a video online that shows it moving.
