Mickey Mouse Clubhouse toys the next rage?

What have you people DONE to me? Now I have to go to Walmart.

But thanks - really - looks like a great toy.

FRUSTRATING...I just went to eToys to look for the items...of course they said that you can backorder the Clubhouse and they SAID that the figures were in stock, but when I went to put them in my cart they said that they were not available!

According to the backorder thing the Clubhouse should be in November 7th.

We have the clubhouse and opened it up. It was missing Toodles and the Helping hand. The whole box was sealed, so I do not know why they were missing. I know someone stated that they had trouble with the slide. We did too. You have to move it around quite a bit to get it on. My little guy loves this show, but overall the toy was a let down. We love the figures. I just feel like the Clubhouse itself is somewhat cheap. It seems like the plastic on the connecting parts could break easily or warp. I know everyone is so excited about finding this toy, but I just wanted to give an opinion on it. Good luck!

I ordered the Backordered playhouse from KBtoys.com today. It said it would deliver between Nov 7 and 21. I don't care as long as it is here before Christmas. I found a code for $5 off $40 which helped with some of the shipping. Our TN sales tax is so high, it actually came out about the same even with shipping. Now I just have to find those figures!

I hope so! It is sad, because I cannot think of ANYTHING else to get my DD who will be turning 3 the end of February. All the things I can think that she would like are things that her sister (5) has (or has something similar) and will soon be too old for and I cannot see having two of something.

She does not play with our little people stuff, but she DOES love the disney figurines we have gotten from happy meals and the like. So I thought this would be great for her.

The only other thing which I have found for her for christmas was an "Elmo Knows Your Name".

Beyond that, I am stumped!

Sorry to get a bit off topic!

I will continue (for a moment) the off topic post. I also got my 3 yo a TJ Bearytales, it's like an updated Teddy Ruxpin, but cuter and it has cartridges you can buy with additional books. He is animated, eyes, ears, mouth, arms move when you play with him and he reads the stories to you. She is asking for a Baby Alive doll--the new one that eats, poops, cries, etc. Right now Hasbro Toy shop online is having a 25% off sale plus free shipping on some items, so that would be the cheapest way to purchase those items. Someone else on another board posted that code. I want to say it was FALL25, but you might have to do a search to be sure. Hope that helps!

I've seen lots of the clubhouses themselves this weekend at Wal-Mart/Toys R Us, but the individual character sets are harder to find. The car and cell phone seem to be plentiful everywhere. And, the prices on Ebay are really coming down. From a Seller's standpoint, I'm wondering if they will go back up again closer to Christmas?????

Is this a good choice for a 5 year old? Or is it geared to younger kids?

IIRC (the toys are secreted away right now), the boxes say 'for 2+'.

I just grabbed up the last ones for my DD who will be 3 next week! They are hard to find!! Except the car and phone I see alot of those too. I am sure they will definately pick up around Christmas. During the last 2 weeks before the holidays, people go crazy paying insane prices for things they can't find. I will check for more if anyone else needs any. I will be going out today shopping, just let me know.

Ok now I'm on a mission! My little boy loves this show sooooo much I have to record it so he can watch it whenever he wants! (he even does the little dance at the end!) Last weekend I was in the disney store and they had like 2 mickey mouse clubhouse toys (car and piano) I was saying wouldn't it be great if they had the club house!!! Thanks DISers!

I was lucky enough to find a clubhouse, but I haven't seen the figures anywhere.

I got several of the accessory pieces at Walmart on Friday. Today I was able to get a clubhouse at Toysrus in Mobile. It was the only one they had. She said that they hadn't gotten any of the accessory pieces in yet.

I was looking on e bay and now I'm confused :confused3 . There seems to be 2 Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cars. One is a remote control car and the other is the counting car. Is the counting car the more popular of the 2? And if so, why is that? Just want to make sure that I buy, if possible, the correct one. Thanks, Karen

Thank you! I did indeed see that post and I did get her the Baby Alive and accessories. My DD5 has been trying to convince me for months that DD2 would love that doll, though I know she says that in part because she wants to play with it too, lol.

I looked at the TJ Bearytales, but I am not sure if that is just too much moving talking stuff... Baby Alive, Elmo knows your Name and then that.

We bought the counting car. It was SOOO cute. Mickey talks and counts as you roll it, I believe. When you push the button he talks to you too! Sounded so cute I could not resist.

I know what you mean about all the electronic stuff!! Glad you were able to utilize that sale on Hasbro.

Yes, so am I!

Though, Baby Alive may become a birthday present in February. I just don't know. I think she would like the clubhouse, and hopefully I can find it around here, though the stores here are SO bad... they never have the latest things, it seems.

My 5 year old is talking about those snugglers pillows, so I may get one of those for each of them.

How realistic is the Bearykins? I mean, is it like TMX Elmo where it would grow boring fast, do you think?

I had absolutely no intentions of getting TJ Bearytales for my DS3 until I saw it in the store on display. He is really cute, and you buy different cartridges for him. Some of them come with an accessory that he holds and moves as he is telling the story. Like a camera and flashlight, and they light up and flash, etc. I'm hoping maybe he can get DS interested in books, I can't seem to myself. my daughter on the other hand is a total bookworm, that's what she's doing right now!

He might get old after a while, but not nearly as quickly as Elmo IMHO. We aren't doing the Elmo thing.
