Home Depot used to offer more stuff. Now you can find a lot of tink, but not so much mickey. Also check with rooms-to-go kids for some other things like a lamp.
I have the classic mickey decor.
1) Mickey Lamp - mickey leaning against an ink well with two drawings on the base of goofy and donald. The pen is the holder for the light buld. Around the edge of the metal shade is mickey running. Like the old flip book cartoons
2) Mickey Door - Mines the display door from HD. It's classic mickey in his standard hands behind his back, foot out pose on a yellow background with red and blue along top and bottom. And since it was the display it's double sided with piglet handing pooh some tulip flowers on a dirt path. This is my pride and joy.
3) Mickey bed spread w/sheets from Target. The sheets just say mickey mouse on them in block lettering. But the comforter looks like one of the t-shirt comforters, so different squares have different images from early cartoons or just plain blue. Not to mention it's jersey and really soft.
4) We have a kids fan from HD as well. It's the white one with different colored fan blades. And we have a green, blue, white CFL bulbs in it. It really isn't hard on the eyes as I thought it might be. And two mickey key chains for the pulls, scorcerer mickey for the light and classic mickey for the fan.
5) We bought a wall mount and desk lamp kit at HD. The wall mount light has a red rod, three bulbs with yellow casing and the blue mount. The desk lamp is of the same design.
We also have a kids mickey beach chair and a tigger one. That would be cute in a corner as a reading chair or something. I also have the stencils from HD, but painting is a bit harder to cover when you move out of an apartment. The door is a bit easier to take off and on.
We also have the mickey "pieces" kitchen set... door knobs, plates, bowl, cutting board, strainer... And a Flounder Bathroom. Bright colorful towels and mats, the "fish set" of bathroom stuff from target- shower curtains, fish cup, soap dispenser, and rug. I want to get the octopus trash can.
If you can't find it in Mickey, just use brightly colored things instead. Like for our bathroom trash can, we used a bright green wooden bin that they sold at target for the bedroom organizer thing. Stick a bag in it and it works just the same. And buying the themed bathroom rugs are more expensive than buying just plain bright colored ones from target brand. Same thing with the towels. And then we have randomness of Flounder, like little plastic toys that sit on the counter, a framed picture from target with ariel and flounder, or the picture from the post office of the stamp with flounder and ariel. It all helps give it that "under the water" feel to it.
