My youngest ds has picked to do his room in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It was super easy to find the bedding, but I'm struggling with finding any wall decor. Any suggestions of websites I can find some or ways to make my own? I'm surprised the disney site doesn't offer more. We just went to WDW in Dec and of course this didn't come up then or else I'm sure I would have found plenty.

Thx!!

What about just painting the wall fun colors/designs that coordinate with the bedding? Larger than life stripes or polka dots with some Mickey ears here & there would be so cute. If you have a Mickey coloring book, you could nicely color & frame a few pages. You could also use carbon paper to trace some of the coloring book designs onto the wall, then paint using craft paints. You can make your own stencils too, if you want a recurring shape around the room. Sounds like fun!!!

Do a google search on:
"Mickey Mouse" "wall stickers"

leave the quotes around the two phrases. Wall stickers are removable and you can reposition them.

i learned a hard lesson about wall stickers...
if your walls are textured dont bother.. they dont stick!

Home Depo used to have a mickey head stamp to stamp mickey heads or you could trace around them an paint them yourself. Also Home Depo sells sample cans of paint that only holds like 4 or 6 ozs of paint maybe not even that much. You could do just a mickey head border, either at top of ceiling or half way up wall where DS could see it better could do those alone or with stripes or poka dots or even scatter them on wall instead of poka dots. Maybe muted shades or the color he likes best in the bedding just remeber bright red an blue might be hard to paint over later. Might show thru which might even be neat.

You could also tranfer pics from the bedding or coloring book to the wall an paint those instead of doing walls with mickey heads. The simpler the outline an detail of pic the easier to do. This way you could add pluto an goofy an any other characters he wanted. To do those pics trace pic. cut around outside edge lightly tape it to wall just enough to hold it in place then trace around outside edge. The inside details on pic used a sharp pencil an press rather firmly to transfer your lines. They don't have to be exact or very dark just enough so you can kinda tell where they supposed to be. This is prolly the most time consuming idea yet.

Another idea is to use cotton or cotton/ polyester blend a ironon transfer pencil an trace pics from either coloring book or bedding it's self then iron transfer on to material cut your pieces of material just slighly bigger than the picture frame. You can either use fabric crayons for this OR what I like even better is Aunt Martha's fabric tube paints they cost less than 2.00 each usually when I can find them these are a ball point paint an work GREAT can be washed an washed an never fade, never crack an peel off either but they do work good on tshirt material GRRRRr BY doing pics in frames tho you can take them down when he tired of them or you can have extra pics an change out the pics from time to time.

What ever you decide ENJOY!!! an be sure an take pics an post them for us to enjoy here too.

Here is our "cheap" Mickey Mouse room redo. It was a surprise for DS on Christmas morning. Pictures aren't the best...but you will get the idea. We went with this theme because it would be easy to change in a few years when he outgrows Mickey :sad1:

What about stenciling the gear shapes that are often used in the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme? You could use paint in the Clubhouse colors and randomly stencil them on the wall, or cluster them over the bed, around the closet etc.

If you'd like to create your own art for the wall, check out the disboards "creative DISigns" area. Those folks have great ideas. You could even use scrapbook stuff and make your own pictures. Maybe you could frame a few Disney pics from a vacation and hang them on the wall. You could use nice mats and frames so that they look special. Kids love to look at them:goodvibes

I love all the ideas!!! I found the huge wall sticker on Disney's website, but not sure I want to spend all that much. I can't wait to get started now that I have something to run with!

I have some wall border that I bought to use in dd's room but never did. If your interested in buying it from me send me a PM. I also have two framed pictures (like poster size) that I bought and have never been used. They would have to be super packed to keep the glass intact but those are available too.

I can send pictures if your interested, just send me a PM (I'm 2gr8kids4me on ebay if you'd like to check my feedback)

Very nice!!!

Disney's Home site has some mickey suggestions. Mostly different paints and guidelines for projects.

I was going to use some of the Tinkerbell designs for DD's bedroom but she decided she was too old for that. Of course we still ended up waiting for over an hour to meet the fairies at WDW during our last trip!

If you want to do framed prints for the walls, you can save some money using the pictures from a calendar. You just get the 11x14 picture frames with 8x10 mats at Walmart and frame the pictures. They look really good, like real prints.

We are doing our daughters room in mickey mouse. One wall is going to bed red and the other 3 walls are going to be white. She has two windows. Looking for mickey mouse rug or rugs and a bedskirt and bedspread. The rug can be white black yellow or red, any design or mickey mouse. Just looking for clean nice good condition things. Please respond with price and pictures. Just think creative. Anything that would match her room. Thanks for reading

or also mickey curtains or the mickey colors

I believe KMart had some Disney wall stickers clearanced the other week. Also, craft stores often have character borders/wall stickers on sale. Since they ususally have weekly "% off" coupons every Sunday, you're sure to find a good deal. Good luck!

I have seen Disney wall stickers at AC Moore and Michaels, as someone mentioned. You can usually find their 40% off coupons in the Sunday papers. Joann's usually has Disney fabrics as well, which can be used for curtains, spreads, etc.
