Mickey Missing

Cousin just got back from cruise about three weeks ago...he says that Mickey is gone from the snorkel area on CC....is this true? Says he was damaged during the hurricanes.

I was looking for it when we were at Castaway Cay on our early December cruise and couldn't find it. I asked one of the lifeguards and he said it was taken out for cleaning.

I remember reading something about that on these boards a few months ago. It apparently was lost during all the hurricanes last year.

Didn't make it to CC last week to find out for myself but I heard that it was damaged in the hurricanes and was removed to be repaired. We were looking forward to trying to find it!

I just spoke with DCL and they told me that periodically they do remove it for cleaning but that it was not lost in the hurricanes.
Hope that clears that up, I really want to see it when I am there in May.

Mickey was not there in Feb . . .

We were there in Sept...between Frances and Jeanne...and he was there then....But I do think he was damaged to some degree...I'm not sure if you can tell in the pic below...if the wheel is in the wrong place. It seems like it was threaded through there...and not really attached.

But he was there...in September 04

Mickey was not there on the 2/13 Wonder cruise. Swam around looking for him for several hours, when the kids finally got tired asked a life guard and he said he had been removed due to some damage but should be back in a few weeks.

mickey was not there during november 2004 wonder cruise...lifeguard said mickey was lost after hurricane...

I was also one of those snorklers in Feb. searching aimlessly for Mickey. Finally gave up and found out they were "repairing" him... oh well, still got to see some beautiful fish.

Sandi, Eric said that he found the wheel on the sea floor and he threaded it on the Mickey as shown in your photo...he cracked up when he saw your photo and said "I did that! I put the wheel there!"

You must have snapped your photo shortly after he found Mickey!

ThreeSmiths....thats TOO FUNNY!!!! Now that I think about it I kinda think I remember him saying that when we were all around the beach chairs at our spot on the beach.
