Maybe a dumb question but where do you see Minnie & Mickey at MK now that Toon Town is gone? I loved Minnie's house :sad1:

Mickey is supposed to start at Exposition Hall officially tomorrow--he's been in various locations around MK since the demise of Toon Town.

Since you are a big fan of Minnie's house, I won't tell you what happened to it.

If the launch holds (collective finger-cross here, please...), we'll be coming down in a couple of weeks. I think the crowds will be insane. I'll need to really maximize our Fastpass use, so I'm hoping someone can answer these questions...

Are these meet & greet Fastpasses the same as ride FPs? In other words, do I have to wait two hours to get another one? AND, will they honor them later than the printed time?

Also, anybody know what time they're planning to open this? Looks like the park will be opening at 8 (they must really be expecting crowds).

Thanks for any help!

I have to say I was pretty devastated when I recently found out that the homes had been...*ahem* Leveled.
I have a 5 and 3 year old who would have LOVED to see them.
I just don't understand it...:confused3

The M&G area will open with the park and close one hour before park closing. Still no word on the FP's. It is open today (not officially) because of the terrible weather we're having. Minnie is due to be with Mickey for a large portion of the day.

I understand completely where you are coming from, but I am really excited about the dumbo/circus area (and Belle's castle).

From what I have heard, they still haven't announced if the FP's will be independent from the rest of the FP system. However, they did say they will NOT honor late returns.

Last week they both were right outside Space Mountain first thing in the morning. We got great photos with them!!!

Since Toon Town Fair in MK was mickey and minnie's summer home, you can still see their permanent homes in Disneyland. Disneyland has an awesome Toontown area. Due to the economy, even mickey and minnie had to downside :rotfl:!

That is really sad about Minnie's house my DD9 and wife loved that when we were there back in 2009.

So Mickey is at the theater / exhibition hall, where will Minnie and some of the others be, same area?pirate:

Mickey, Minnie, Aurora, Cinderella and Belle are there. However, the princesses are only there until their new spot in Fantasyland is built.

Okay-I didn't KNOW about the demise of toontown! What is going there, and when will it be open? Is there a thread I can read up on? We're going down May 12, so will there be something similar to toon town by then? So sad! I loved toon town, and my baby will be 16 months when we go-and LOVES Mickey! I was looking forward to taking her there!

HERE and HERE.

Mickey and Minnie are extremely easy to find - they meet and greet in evey park, and participate in multiple character meals.

Check the link in my signature for the characters finder, which will show you where others have recently met WDW characters.

As long as toon town is no longer there, so the attractive of Mickey and Minnie's house is gone, another great spot is at Character Connection, Epcot. Sure, they won't pose together, but with one line you get to meet Pluto, Goofy and Donald too!

There's photopass for every character and you get to spend a nice amount of time with each one.

So, do I understand correctly that you have to choose which line to get in--Princesses or Mice? And a separate Fastpass for each...?

Also, still haven't heard anyone say for sure...are these just like attraction FPs, i.e. two hours before you can get another one? Hm, Mickey or Space Mountain first...??? And to those who are going soon, PLEASE keep the posts coming about whether they are honoring "late" Fastpasses!

Thanks!!!

According to the pictures here there are separate FP's for Mickey and the Princesses. The ticket shows when the next FP is available which DOES suggest you cannot get another FP until the listed time but we'll have to wait and see the results when someone tries to put this into practice. Still no word on late returns.

I don't see anything in the FP photo that (specifically) indicates that the holder MUST return during the one-hour window.

And, without that, how would a guest know if the Mickey FP is any different than any other WDW FP....
meaning that it could be used any time that same day, after the earliest Return Time?

Neither do I, but the rumors say they will not accept late FP's.

The FP's for the Roger Rabbit ride at DLR are not tied to the main FP system. So you can get one and then immediately get another one from a different attraction. However, the Roger Rabbit FP's still have the "next available" time printed on them.

So someone will have to test it out to the Mickey FP's to see if the system allows them to get another.

I see just from the "Another FASTPASS ticket will be available..." info that they ARE tied to the rest of the park's FP system.
