Mickey, Minions & more. 2 week holiday. Updated 9/14 - FINAL THOUGHTS

Great updates. makes me wish I was there now. I haven't taken the ferry in years as we don't do hoppers and never go to ttc. love the pictures of the resrts andcmk lit up.
Thank you. We have taken a ride on it just for the fun of it.

Enjoyed the pics on the ferry

Can't wait to see where you ate :coffee:
Thanks.
Soon..

The waits for Maelstrom were still like at 30 minutes when we were there in June and Anna and Elsa were already at the MK.

Great pictures from your Ferry ride. Mark and I always take the Ferry unless we just missed one. We tend to avoid the Monorail at all costs...we ALWAYS get stuck on it.:lmao::lmao:

Can't wait to see the Christmas decorations at the WL; we ate breakfast there but didn't have time to look around at all the decorations they had.
Maybe people thought they were in there. :lmao: Not many attractions in WS so that could be why.
:rotfl2: If I got stuck all the time I would avoid it also.
I think I got mos tof them, hopefully.

Great photo taken from the ferry of the castle and train station with the monorail going by!

I have to go to Germany's karamel shop every time we go to World Showcase! I nibble on a chocolate covered caramel salted thing for the rest of the day. I usually get two so I can take one back to the room for later!
Thank you.
:thumbsup2 Yum!

Gorgeous! What a beautiful time of the evening to be taking the ferry across to the MK!

The last time I was in WDW the wait for Malestrom was ridiculously long. I love that troll and I have yet to be successful in getting a picture of it.

Your Christmas pics have me excited for my 2015 Christmas trip. Can't believe I will be waiting that long. :faint:

Beautiful pics in your last several updates, as usual.

Love the picture of your caricature dancing on Spaceship Earth! I can hear the cha cha cha in the background! :rotfl2:
it was a great time.
I got one picking its nose. :)
We are waiting to Sep or Oct 2015 to go. But it will be DLR and WDW.
Thanks.
:thumbsup2

We went to WL and looked around quickly.

I love this bridge.

Their Christmas tree.

How cute is this display?

The tree again.

The bridge was decorated also. Sorry for the blurriness.

Vinny visited the three little bears. LOL

I was huge here.

Pretty tree in the corner. Maybe it was having a time out. LOL.

Then we walked outside to grab the boat.

Then we walked the path to the boat.

This boat was arriving and unloading.

Soon enough we were on the boat and on our way.

Then we were going on here.

A pic while we were waiting at Contemporary.

Ok time to stop again.

Up next,

Dinner and the end of the night.

Beautiful pictures of the Wilderness Lodge decorations, Scott. Although I'm not a fan of the resort in general, I'm with you...love that bridge. And the pic of Vinny with the three Bears is a hoot.

You know - I have a contract at VWL but I have yet to stay there at Christmas time, so I am really eyeing up Christmas 2015. It is the perfect resort for that Christmas vibe! :santa:

Thanks.
I would like to stay there once and try it. Of course I want to do that for all the resorts. :lmao:

It's absolutely lovely in there!
:thumbsup2 it was very pretty.

:thumbsup2 It was very pretty with the decorations but AKL Jambo House beat in my opinion for best decorated resort and feel.

WL is gorgeous decorated for Christmas

I just want to sit by fire and stare at Christmas tree lights :goodvibes

How in the world did you get such a great picture of the troll on Maelstrom? I've tried my best to get a halfway decent one and I never can. Way to go! :thumbsup2

It's been years since we've taken the ferry over to the Magic Kingdom. I had forgotten how pretty the scenery is.

You two are some resort hopping folks aren't you. I'm thankful that you were because I am loving seeing all of the various Christmas decorations.

I pointed the camera and hit the button. :rotfl2: I think I took 5 all together and that was the best one.
it is very pretty. We try to do it once a trip.
I tried at this point to make sure I saw the resorts decorated. Next time will be for pics I need for the group I run on FB. Priorities. :lmao:.

We were at our destination and here is the first decoration we saw.

And then we saw this.

The line to check in for Kona. YIKES!

Vinny went to check us in and I took pics. Look the waterfall.

Looking around.

The Christmas tree down below. Bad pic.

Vinny posing.

See, I told you it was Kona.

It took 26 minutes and we were seated and yes we were on time. Vinny looking over the menu.

I might have had this. If it is non-carbonated than I did.

Happy me.

Looking over by the kitchen area.

I dream about the butter. It is so good.

Our order.

Apps:

Vinny: Maui Onion and White Bean Soup $5.99

Scott: none

Entrees:

Scott & Vinny:

Sesame Seared Sea Scallops - with Rice, Wakami Salad, and Tarragon-Champagne Beurre Blanc $18.99

We did not share this meal.

No desserts.

Total = $48.47 after TIW discount with tip.

After dinner we took the monorail back to MK and soon we were waiting for our bus.

Here is the walking for that day.

I also saw fireworks from the balcony but not sure which ones.

Up next,

Our last full day.

I loved the pictures from the Nemo show. We haven't seen that in a while I really enjoyed it!
Your dinner at Sanaa sounds great. Fran and I split one of those dinners and some bread and it's plenty of food. Tasty too!
No worries about a late start. That's why we have DVC so that we don't have to run around like crazy!
Very nice resort pics.
I like the American Adventure show, I think it's one of the better ones at WDW.
That line for Malestrom is CRAZY, oh, Anna & Elsa, that makes more sense. Well not really but I hear it's 5 hours long!
Wow! This trip was a while ago, because they are so much farther along on the poly now!
Oh yay! And now I'm finally all caught up again!
The decorations at the WL are so pretty! I love that little bridge.
Dinner at Kona looks nice.

Dinner at Kona looks delicious. But that's a long line just for check-in. Is it always like that at Kona?

WOW...I've never seen a line like that at Kona to check in (although they can be a bit slow in checking people in at breakfast).

How were the scallops? I LOVE scallops and we are thinking of adding Kona to our list for September (we ate there in June and it was my favorite meal of the trip but I didn't have the scallops).

Love the picture of you being so happy.

Love the WL pictures. I think it is such a pretty resort.
Dinner looks really good!

wow, kona looked packed

I love their butter too...mmmmmm

Thanks. it is a fun show to see.
:thumbsup2 My favroite restaurant in all of WDW.
That is so very true.
Thanks.
I like it but not every trip.
We get a long line at Maelstrom a lot.
Yeah. This was December and it looks so different now.
:thumbsup2

it was very good. It was a long line but we walked around so it went fast. Thankfully. Usually no.

it was.
They should package it and sell it. :lmao:

A new day has dawned and look what was waiting for us.

But we will not let that depress us. We had a full day planned and it took place at the most magical place on earth.

The time we left.

I would love one of these at home.

Our destination.

LOL.

Not a care in the world.

Green side only for me.

Woo-hoo!

Decorations.

One of the new double loaders.

Looks like there were several there that day.

I am ready to let the Memories Begin.

Soon enough we were inside. As you can see below the temps dropped.

Decorations everywhere.

Marie was out.

We did not stop to see her but we did go see someone else. Here is the tree by him.

Here is who we were waiting for.

There was a line. Renee walked around looking while Vinny & I waited.

Then we were meeting Duffy.

Con't...

Con't. from previous post.....

Closer look at the tree.

The train that goes around.

I love this rocking horse

Duffy had a bear.

Then we moved on and started walking down Main Street.

Not sure if you can see it but the castle show was ending and the fireworks were going off.

Cat gallery? LOL

And this post will end with a balloon pic.

Think I will stop here.

Up next,

Walking and lunch

Hmmmmm, I guess one bright side of staying off property or staying on property but with a car is you never ever have to see that depressing Tragical Express notice.

That was my departure day too. I remember well the difference in the weather making it a tad bit easier. Not easy, just easier.
