Mickey, Minions & more. 2 week holiday. Updated 9/14 - FINAL THOUGHTS

I am loving the resort touring. I really should do this some day. I just hate taking time away from the parks. But resort hopping is so much fun too and at Christmas time it looks even better!

I loved how it looks in Caribbean Beach Resort too.So pretty in food court

Their decorations are great. I really liked that first tree you showed pixiedust:

The CBR definitely is a big resort but we like how it's nice and spread out. Keeps it from feeling so crowded. I love how the trees have the tropical flowers on them. Pretty!

You were right about the place in the picture. There is a part of the store that's enclosed and then the "open air" area that is in your picture.

I wish that ya'll had stayed and tried their housemade chips. They have a jerk seasoning on them and are delicious! Oh and a monkey cupcake, another CBR treat you need to try. Now, I'm homesick for the CBR. Thank goodness we will be back there on the 24th.
They did make the trees have the feel for the resort they were in.
Now I want to go back and try the cupcake. :rotfl2:
Don't brag. I have no trip there this year. :sad1:

Enjoying all the tours! You are hitting a LOT!
Thanks.

Enjoyed the pictures of CBR. We stayed there years ago. My kids were still young and we went with my college room mate and her family. We really liked it. In fact I have decided that is where I want to stay on our next trip, just don't know when that will be.:dance3:
Thank you.
:thumbsup2 same here

We used to hate not goign to the parks but we have ridden all the rides and we know we will go back many more times so we like to slow it down now and explore.

:thumbsup2 It was pretty. I wished I walked around the resort as I love the way it looks by the water but we didn't have time for more than the lobbies in the resorts.

I'm enjoying all your pictures of the resorts.

But I'm curious as to how you got to each resort. Did you catch a taxi?

CBR is the only mod we've stayed at. It is BIG! Beautiful decorations though!!

I love the moderates! I would like to stay at all the WDW resorts, but not really the values, except AOA in a family room. I love the pictures from CSR since I will be there in a couple weeks. Someday I will stay at CBR! I hope that you wrote off a portion of this trip for your taxes, at least that what Fran would say! :thumbsup2

Great pictures and I can't wait to see where you finally have lunch!

We eat at CBR food court every trip. They have very good rotisserie chicken and the sides vary from day to day. It's a good place to get a 'hearty' meal without having a table service. The cornbread is good, too. They did a wonderful job on the theme of the food court, and the shopping is good here, too. :thumbsup2 Jill and her family are staying there again in October.

All caught up again! :thumbsup2

I love all those Christmas photos - and your pics of the resorts are really awesome! :goodvibes Thanks for sharing.

I want to try all. Even if it is one night. :rotfl2:
Jealous you will be at CSR soon.
:rotfl2: I should do that.
Coming up soon.

We have eaten there before and loved it. Our hearts were elsewhere.
I would like to stay here and I cannot decide between pirate rooms or close to the main building.

All caught up again! :thumbsup2

Thank you.

After we left CBR we drove over to our lunch destination resort. I love seeing this when we pass it.

Soon enough we were here.

Oh Riverside how I have missed you.

Shall we walk in.

In case you forgot where we were. LOL.

When you walk in you see this. Beautiful!

No flash.

Looking up at the ceiling.

Then I went and looked at the registration area.

Love this place when Bob is playing.

Then we came to table service restaurant.

No decorations here.

We have not eaten there in a few years. Last time we did the jambalaya tasted like it was the scraps of the day thrown on a plate and then microwaves.

Next up was Riverside Mill. Have you ever gone in here? It has a distinct smell and I love it. Sometimes I smell it and it brings me right back there.

Looking out towards the tables.

Our lunch choices.
Scott:
Mahi Sandwich - with choice of Pasta Salad or French Fries $10.19

Vinny:
Clam Chowder $3.99
Fish Sandwich - with Coleslaw, Grapes, and Cucumbers $6.99
Here is Vinny’s plate. The Chocolate milk was mine.

Review:
I cannot give one. I do not remember one thing about this meal. I guess it was alright being I do not remember disliking it.
The amount came to $28.92 with no TIW discount. The CM said they should change this being Boatwrights is not open for lunch, we agree.

Then I looked in at Boatwright's again.

Another view of the tree.

Then we looked around Fulton’s.

And that was the only photo I took there.

Then we left here and moved on. This is what the car says when you turn it off.

We loved the car so much (we had a rental 3 weeks ago when the person next to us scraped our car) that we ended up buying one 2 weeks ago. Our new car.

Coming up next,

let's go next door.

Love Riverside. My favorite resort:thumbsup2

Shame Boatwrights not open for lunch. We went there on a whim once and loved it

Great pics

Nice car :goodvibes

We stayed at POFQ this year but we spent our last day at Riverside. We walked over there, spent a while at their pool, had lunch in the quick service and then took the boat back. We reply liked FQ but we liked Riverside even more. The boys loved the pool and we ll liked the food court and gift shop better.

POR was the first on-site resort I stayed at. It always holds a special spot for me.
Love your pictures. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

peep! hugs to you scott!!!!

JORDAN!!!!!!! I have missed you!!!!!!!!!

Scott, I loved the tour of Port Orleans!!! I really need to make myself tour the resorts we have never visited!
