Mickey, Minions & more. 2 week holiday. Updated 9/14 - FINAL THOUGHTS

What a fabulous view to have while dining!
I love the carving pictures too. I need to go to Bugs Life again so I can get some more close ups of those.

Your view at lunch was gorgeous! You have such great AK pics :thumbsup2
it was very nice to look at.
Thank you.

I love that lunch spot. Great views and it's nice and shady.

Lunch looked delicious. I think AK food is probably the most different of all the 4 parks now. The others are pretty generic.
me too. Yes. I have heard people having problems with the birds but so far we have not.
I agree.

This is great! We are finally getting to move into our new place after closing Escrow six months ago!

Good luck! I hope you get some great offers.

I really liked your spot for lunch, great views! We've always ordered the BBQ chicken and ribs, never had the pork sandwich, my mom got that same chicken salad when we ate there last.

I've never been on WDW's Bug's life. I can always do it here and figured it was the same, but the carvings are really nice.
Thanks. So far nothing but we are hoping. That is great you about to move in.
The pulled pork is so good.
Bugs life is a movie in 3d. It might be the same. Not familiar with DLR version.

Oh my, yeah, I kinda like that view during lunch. Wow.

Ha Bugs, the most "entertaining" show in Disney. Yes, I'm evil, lol.
it is a great view to take in and hear everyone screaming. :lmao:
:rotfl2: so true. So am I.

Lunch looks great. And congrats on selling your place!:cool1:
Thank you.

Great job in finding a table with such lovely views! The food looks pretty darn tasty too. It's been a long time since we've eaten at Flame Tree. Just don't like eating hot bbq when it's hot outside. But, that's just me and I am not normal. :rotfl:

The picture on Dinosaur is cracking me up! Great job on that one.
Thanks. It was. I can see that but the food is so good. :lmao:
:thumbsup2

I wish I was seeing it now.
I need to go and just walk all around it and take as many as I can get.

As we walked out we came to the Christmas tree. It was so pretty.

It was definitely decorated appropriately.

Then looking at the bottom of it.

Then we walked over to the bus stop.

Yes please.

One of the newer buses went by us.

LOL. I thought this was cute.

Some of the greenery as we walked back to the room.

After we got back to the room we went swimming while Renee relaxed.
Now before I start the next part I will post our PP+ pics. There aren’t many but why not share. Renee had another son in them. LOL.

We saw a certain alien popping out.

Here we all are again.

Here is Renee with her new child. LOL. This was the first time I believe she was at Animal Kingdom. I could be wrong but I think so.

Now back to the rest of the night….

After we swam for a bit it was then time to get ready for dinner. The location was not far from where we were.

Here is their Christmas tree.

The buzzer. LOL.

We waited for a table outside. We were seated and here is what we had.

Scott:
Tomato Bisque - served with Herbed Goat Cheese $5.99

Then for my entrée I had another appetizer.
Crab Firecrackers - with Marinated Vegetables and Sweet Chili Aïoli - $12.49

Mine were both good. Allears does not list the crab dish but I found it elsewhere being the receipt said I had it. LOl.

Vinny:

French Onion Soup - Classic French Onion Soup Topped With Melted Cheese And A Nest Of Crispy-Fried Onions $6.99

Steamed Mussels - with fennel, shallots, white wine, tomato pesto, and fresh herbs $10.99

Vinny also went the appetizer route for both meals.

Renee:

It says on the receipt she had the.

Crispy Free-Range Chicken Breast - with Rthree-cheese casserole and braised greens $18.99

No pic though.

We love this place. It is great when we are staying there and even when we aren’t we still make the trip. I do love eating outside as long as it is not too hot.

The amount of the bill was $64.43 after the 20% discount.

Then after dinner we walked back to the room.

Then we posed by the horse.

But then I got a text from someone and I now had new plans for the evening.

Up next,

A boat ride to Disney shopping.

P.S. Happy Easter to all who celebrate.

Nice dinner
Can you believe how different you look in these pictures compared to your recent ones?
Happy Easter to you too. I will be spending the day at my daughter's with my two grandson's watching "Frozen"

great pics as usual.

I thought I commented on the Safari photos, but I guess not.
Well they are classic. The headless giraffe is an awesome shot!

I love that no matter how many photos I view here on the Dis there are so many great ones yet to be taken. thanks for posting them.

Also, love the turf club. We just dined there last oct and had a great time. I know we had that crab appetizer. you can't beat it for a nice dinner close to home when staying at Saratoga.

I think it's great you get in so much afternoon pool time. Something we never manage to do for some odd reason.

I love the AK Christmas tree. The decorations are so unique.
Dinner looks lovely.
Looking forward to the next installment.

I almost forget that the AK tree is outside the park like DHS. They do a heck of a job theming it to the park.

It may just be me, but I don't like the look of the new buses. I don't hate them, but they look so much more corporate to me. That said, I wouldn't mind seeing one right about now.

Thanks. That is one of my favorite shots.
I find everyone has a different view and focal point when taking pics. :thumbsup2
it is really nice to dine there. So far no bad meal there.
We always plan down time almost every day.

They are and just perfect for the setting.
It was.

I am glad you got pictures of one of my favorite trees. I see my buddy, Eeyore, hiding down there. :eeyore:

So ready to ride one of these again in July! :cool1:
he was asking where you have been but will be happy to see you in the summer.
:thumbsup2

They certainly do.

I do not think we rode in one this trip. :rotfl2: Me too.

That Onion Soup Vinny had looked wonderful !! Never eaten there but your pix make me want to !!!!

:thumbsup2

I knew he'd be asking. ;) At that time, I was planning to see him right after Christmas, but that sort of didn't work out. :sad2:

You know what really makes me sad about the Christmas trip that was derailed? I would have gotten to see the Jingle Jungle Parade one last time, if things had gone as planned. But, I will be happy for all the times I did see Jammin' Jungle and Jingle Jungle and for all the pictures I have of them. ::yes:: And maybe, when the construction stuff is over, they might even bring back the parades! :cheer2:

I love your view from Flame Tree - so relaxing :)

Your Turf Club food looks delicious too!

Loved the PP pics.

Love the AK tree with nice disney touches at the bottom

Not big fan of soup, but I love goat cheese. That looked really good

Can't wait to hear what new plans you had that night

Happy Easter pixiedust:

I have both versions on video so can put them on anytime. It wasn't my favorite parade but it was cute.

Happy Easter pixiedust:
Thanks.
I love soup especially now since I am cold 98% of the time. Before surgery not so much.
Happy Easter.

When we last left off I had spoken to someone about going to DTD. Of course that person was Lorrie. Jim was resting in the room and she wanted to try the meatloaf from WGP. But first we have to get there.

Our mode of transportation was the boat.

We had a little bit of a wait here so I took photos as we chatted.

Even the dock was decorated.

Some of the ornaments.

Poor thing lost its legs.

Soon enough we were at DTD and it was time to walk around and take pics. Fortunately Lorrie loves taking pics as much as I do so it was perfect. Here is House of Blues. I think it is the exit in the back.

Then we came to La Nouba. One day I will get to see this.

The food trucks were out. We did not visit them.

Then we saw.

As you will see I was experimenting with night photos.

Cirque with no flash.

Then with a flash.

Then we moved on. DisneyQuest.

In all my trips to WDW I have never set foot in here and we even has premium annual passes that got us entry.

House of Blues shop.

I was hoping to get here on the trip but we never did.

Then we came to Bongos. I enjoyed this place the 2 times I had eaten there.

Then we came to the other Wolfgang Puck restaurant. I have never gone to this location.

I really hope I am not boring everyone with all these pics.

Next up we hit AMC.

We didn’t really hit it up we just walked by.

Bongos maybe? I really do not know.

I think I will stop here as I have a lot more pics to show.

Up next,

DTD comtinues.

Not boring at all Scott, I love DTD...poor horse with no legs though :lmao: We did DQ once, but after that it was somewhere for our oldest DS to go when we bored him :lmao: An arcade with some virtual reality rides, IMO I didn't feel I was missing too much :upsidedow

Not boring at all. I rarely get to that end of DTD so it's nice to see pictures. Your night pictures are really good!
