It was another lazy morning today with me not getting up until 8:20. We were booked on the 10:00 4x4 monster truck safari at Showcase of Citrus so we went out at about 9:15, arriving about half an hour later.

It turned out that we were the only two going on the tour so we got what would normally be a $100 private safari for just $30 with the use of a $10 off coupon that we got from one of the magazines.

We didn't see any wildlife on the tour, which was a bit of a disappointment but when and where else would you get to spend an hour riding across open fields in a monster truck?

At the end of the tour they don’t bring the ladder to the truck, they back the truck up to the ladder, and do it perfectly every time!

The tour ended at about 10:45 and, after buying some honey, we made our way back to the Boardwalk, dropped off the car and stopped off at Boardwalk Bakery for a drink.

We then got the boat over to EPCOT where the first stop was Soarin' to pick up a Fast Pass, which had a return time of 2:27 - just about two hours away. From there we went over to The Seas with Nemo and Friends where we rode Nemo which was a walk on - that ride has such a big queueing area and yet I bet most of it never gets used!

After Nemo we were just in time to walk straight into the next Turtle Talk with Crush show. I love this attraction because you just never know what you are going to get - the best exchange today was when Crush asked a little kid to say 'totally' and the kid came back with 'towed away', then Crush said 'say sweet' and was met with the reply 'sneet'. Crush then said 'OK, we'll do it your way - put them together and everyone say: towed away sneet'.

After Crush we wandered round and rode Spaceship Earth, then went round to Club Cool for a couple of tasters. Then we went over to Ellen's Energy Adventure but they hadn't even started allowing people in for the pre-show so instead we walked over to the exit of Test Track to have a sit in some of the cars there - they had a pick-up truck there that we could barely step up into let alone drive!

It was still a bit too early to use our Fast Passes so next stop was Journey Into Imagination, which again was a walk-on and by the time it had finished we were able to walk over to Soarin' where, even with our Fast Passes, we had about a 10 minute wait to board. We were in the back row so we had feet in front of us but even so it is still a great ride.

After Soarin' we made our way back to International Gateway and got the boat back to BWV to have a rest before going out for dinner.

We were back out at 5:30 and on our way to our dining venue tonight - Texas de Brazil at the top of International Drive. We had not been there before and when we got there it looked like we might be in for a long wait as there was a load of people going in, but in fact we were seated within about 5 minutes. For anybody who doesn't know about Texas de Brazil, it's a steakhouse but with a difference - there is a help yourself salad bar but the meats are brought round and served to you from skewers by 'gauchos'. You have a round card on your table that you turn to the green side when you want more meat and to the red side when you have had enough - Dad and I managed to get through the filet mignon, flank steak, chicken wrapped in bacon, filet wrapped in bacon, pork loin and a couple of others that Dad tried before we had both had enough and turned our discs back to red. It was an expensive meal at $140 including drinks and tips but the meats were delicious and there was plenty of it - definitely worth going to at let once for a treat.

We were back at the Boardwalk for 8:00, went upstairs to pick up our park tickets and then wandered over to EPCOT for Illuminations. The peninsula at the UK/France bridge was roped off for a wedding reception so we had to settle for standing on the bridge, where I noticed something that I've never seen before - the boats for the Illuminations cruises actually came right onto the lagoon and moored up alongside the peninsula.

Illuminations was great as usual and once it had finished we made our way back to the room where we were in bed at the usual time with plans to go to Hollywood Studios tomorrow.
