Mickey Graduation Ears Hat

I don't know if this is the best place to post this so if someone knows where I might get a better response to it please let me know


Before (or during) my December trip I want to get a pair of Mickey ears with the graduation cap that says Class of 2012 on them. All I can find online is Class of 2011 pairs. Is there a place where I can find 2012 ones? Is this something that will only come out around next May in the parks?

DS got his Class of 2011 mickey hat in Feb 2011.

They are usually available on line as well. I went to the parks this past June (middle of the month) and they were already sold out in the parks. So not sure if that happens often or not. So you may want to get them sooner than later when they become available!

Where are you finding the 2011 ears online?

My daughter badly wanted some and we saw them when we were there in February, but decided to wait until the Graduation trip at the end of May to buy them --- bad idea. We couldn't find them anywhere so sad.... My advice is the buy them as soon as you see them to avoid disappointment...

I saw them on sites like Ebay. Warning though, they were A LOT of money.

The earliest I've heard of people getting them is Feb of that year. I'm graduating next year and am visiting in June, but I will definitely buy them online as early as I can.

I hope they become available online earlier than later! I'm graduating next year and while I'm still trying to swing my parents to go for a trip celebrating it, I have a feeling I'm just going to have to get them online. But no matter what I NEED to get a pair of the 2012 ones!!!

They had the 2011 hats in nearly every store that sold Mickey ear hats when I went early last January -- I think there is a good chance that they'll be out and about within the parks in December.

Are they available online at the Disneystore.com Parks store? Because I emailed them to find out if they'd have them online there and I didn't get a clear answer. I asked if they'd ever have them online at that site. The reply said "I'm sorry, but the graduation ear hat you requested is not available through Disneystore.com. We are not certain of when that item will become available. You may continue to check our site periodically." What does that mean? They don't have them now and they will eventually or they will never have them on that site? This is kinda frustrating. So I guess I'll check online later, but I'll probably call mail order in early January to order them.

I sure hope so! I already told my family that's my big goal of the trip is to get a pair so they all know to be on the look out! If worse comes to worse I am going to go to where you can make your own and try to create my own like them

Sorry, but it's too early for the 2012 graduation ears. Normally, they don't appear until the first of March each year. If you're lucky, you may see them in February, but that's not the norm.

Someone else said that they saw a lot in early January so Im going to hold onto hope that I might see them.

I keep looking on the Disney store site everyday. My DS graduates from High school in 19 weeks!! We are taking him to WDW for graduation in June but I want a Mickey graduation cap for his party. I hope they come out soon.

If they are for a college graduation be careful of buying them too early. My mom bought my brother a pair during our trip in October 2010. Shortly after he ended up dropping a class and postponing graduation. He ended up not graduating until December 2011. We joke and tell my mom she jinxed him. She ended up putting a piece of colored duck tape over the "0" and writing in a "1". I believe she bought them at the main ear hat shop in Magic Kingdom.

@Megan – Congratulations!! There will be some 2012 graduation merchandise. I know Duffy has a new outfit and I’ve seen a few other items. They probably won’t arrive in locations until the Spring (close to the end of the school year). Enjoy your time as a senior and I wish you much success in your next chapter.

When DD graduated in 2010 we went down for a mother/daughter trip in May and we easily found the grad ears. I didn't realize how hard they are to get!
