This is probably a very stupid question, but since this is our first cruise and having never been to WDW...

Do they sell Mickey Mouse Ears on board in the gift shops? If so, can you get them personalized? I would really love to get them for my dd (3). Thanks a million...these boards are terrific! :D

Can't imagine Disney giving up the chance to sell Mickey ears!!! Wonder if they have like little sailor hats with Mickey ears for the Disney cruises!

Yes they do have Mickey and Minnie ears. But you can't get them personalized. They are just as cute with out the name.

I don't remember seeing Mickey Ears in the ship shops. There are plenty of hats and such, but I don't recall seeing the Ears. As far as I know, there are only a couple places to get them personalized at WDW. If you would like to order some, you can get the Merchandise number for WDW and they would probably ship them to you.

If you are flying into Orlando (MCO), there is a big Disney store at the airport.... They do sell the Mickey/Minnie ears there... I picked up an autograph book for my ds there right when we arrived....

If those ears blow off her head and into the ocean when you are walking on a deck you would be pretty sad. Maybe you can take some elastic thread and a darning needle and make a chin strap?

You could buy a pin at home or make something yourself that has DD's name on it and pin it on the ears to personalize them. Does she want her name on the ears? My DSs never did.

I did not see ears on the ship, but that was in 2000, so maybe they have some now.

Have a wonderful time.

Just re-read my last post and saw that I needed to edit it as it sounded like my husband did not want his name on his Mickey ears and it was really my sons. Now it is fixed.

Glad to know there are ears now. It is a really good idea. Are they normal plain black ears, or are they coming through a sailor cap?

They were the regular ears - I think they may have had WDW on them - nothing particular to DCL just the same as you get in the parks.

I am glad they have some ears on the ship.

Wouldn't it be fun if they had some in sailor hats, with chin straps so the little ones don't lose them overboard??

My favorite, and I tried them all, was the Goofy Pirate Do-Rag. It looked like a pirate's red do-rag (scarf) with Goofy ears attached. There was even an ear ring in one ear.
