Help!!!

I know, I'm a ditz, but I can not figure out how to cut just the flesh or white parts of a character out. Would someone mind giving a quick step-by-step, "press this button, then that one" to me?

First, you need to make sure the "Layers: Face/White" button is selected (it's the one in the upper left corner).

To do the face, then just select the character you are making.

To do the white part, SHIFT then the character you are making.

If you want to do the Outfit/Tongue, make sure the "Layers: Outfit/Tongue" button is selected.

Then for the outfit, just select the character you are making.

To do the tongue, SHIFT then the character you are making.

Same thing for the Layers: Shoes/Ribbon/Hat. Select the button on the left, and then the character or SHIFT then the character.

I think it's a bit confusing because the picture in the Layers:Face/White box of the character page for some of them only shows the outline of the flesh, so you'd have to just somehow "know" that if you <shift> you'll get the white part that (IMHO) should be shown as an outline in the upper right part of the box.

I get confused with this too. But now that I have the Expression it shows me what I'm cutting so I don't end up with the wrong thing again and again. Nancy
