Hi,

I've just booked my first ever Disney World stay for October 2020; 3rd October until 17th October 2020 (I know, ages away, but already have plenty of questions).

I will be staying in the Animal Kingdom Lodge, with savannah view for 14 days. I wanted to know more about the 'Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party'? Is this every night, or will there be normal shows at the Magical Kingdom? Or during this time will all the shows be Halloween based?

I have a 14 day ticket already booked for Disney World, will I have to purchase another ticket separately to enter this Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, or will I be able to access the park with the tickets I have booked already?

Many thanks for your help!
Ryan

MNSSHP is a separate ticket event. The party runs a few times a week depending on when you are going. We went last year and I think we were allowed to enter the park with the ticket for the party at 4 or 5p - the party officially starts at 7p.

When you use your ticket to enter the park you will be issued a wristband that you must wear. The park will close to those who are not part of the party around 6p. The party includes the following:
  1. Shorter ( hopefully ) lines for the rides - there is much debate on this point and can directly be effected by what date you attend.
  2. Special merchandise that is only available at the party.
  3. Special menu ideas only available at the party.
  4. Special themed parade
  5. Special themed fireworks.
  6. Dance party.
  7. Photo ops with special characters that you can't normally get at the park.
  8. Trick or Treating stations within the park.

We went last September and had a great time. The crowd was low but it was still hard to get the photo ops in because the lines were so long. Ride times were low - we walked onto Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion. It's important to note that the 1st party of the season and Halloween are always packed.
