I only have two 16 month olds... you could watch them while we go to the parks. That sounds like fun!

Sounds like a good idea! It is not snowing here now. It is getting cold, though. Thank goodness they did not cancel school..I would've gone nuts. I was just up in your neck of the woods this weekend. In Okemos to be exact. Met DC and her DD and we went scrapbooking. We won't be at WDW soon enough. Stay warm!!!

I actually get to the Lansing airport quite often, and I have spent several nights in East Lansing.

We got way too much snow here tooand it's COLD. Now I know why Disney lismits points so you can't try to live there all year! Those of us in the frozen north would definitely book all the space in Jan-Feb if we could!

I am with you floridafam. I was just saying that same thing to my neighbor. He told me to go play the lotto and I could move to Florida. I just hate snow! I love the idea of the plane even better, thanks for the offer to fly us Maistre Gracey. How much would it cost to charter that plane?

My SIL and BIL are flying to Hawaii right now and we are tracking their flight. (yes, I hate them )

It has not stopped snowing here. I'm watching it pile up on the car in the driveway. Even the college DH goes to in Grand Rapids canceled classes. There is also a 50 car pile up on I-96 between here and Grand Rapids.

Maybe VB has a lot of empty rooms. We could have a Michigan party out by the pool.

Where do you stay when you are in East Lansing?

The Lansing airport seems to really be expanding. I'd love to be flying out of there today but I don't think anyone is going anywhere.

We might be able to swing by and pick up a few of you who live in Ohio on our way to Florida-if you're nice and admit that our football teams are better than yours are.

I wouldn't go out in this. DH called and said it is pretty bad-he usually doesn't mind driving in the snow.

I was a little surprised this morning to learn that school was canceled because it didn't look that bad out but now I am glad we didn't have to get out. DS said he hopes it is canceled tomorrow. They had the day off on Monday because of a water problem so he's pretty happy right now.

Oh my! I could only guess it would be at least $10,000.

Where do you stay when you are in East Lansing?

We stay at the Holiday Inn. I know there are two, but we stay at the one with the TGI Friday's attached.

We were in WDW Jan 1 to the 7th and the weather was great (I still need to changed my sig) Since coming home it really feels like winter has come on strong. It started snowing and just hasn't stopped. Our Christmas lights are frozen in the gutter, and it hasn't gotten above 32 to pull them out.

Thank God Jan is almost over. Something tells me it is going to me a long Feb and March. We normally go in March, but went to Jan to get more use out of our AP we got last March. That is the only problem with going early, nothing to look forward to the rest of the winter.


Oh to top it off I am recenlty unempolyed (happy not to have to drive much in this) and 13 weeks pregnant. My 2 year old DD is running a mok around the house. Not to mention I am in middle of dealing with 2 root cananals. I know spring will come, but is seems so far away.

WDW has such a strong pull in the winter, not as much during the summer when there is more to do around here.

Hang in there, we can make it.

I'm with you, we live in Greenville and it hasn't stopped snowing since 7am. I usually drive in to GR to work, but decided to work from home today..

All of this snow is making me want to plan a long weekend trip, I think my DD10 has a long weekend the 3rd week of Feb. Although I am not sure I can wait that long, way to much snow for me.

How about passing through Indianapolis on your way? We are originally from MI, does that count? We have gotten a lot of snow down here, too. And of course, most of the schools are closed because they can't deal with it down here like they can up there!

If I have to scrape my car ONE MORE TIME I may scream! The district I teach in did not close schools today. However, we were down a lot of kids whose parents just decided not to chance it and send them.

The only thing that is keeping me sane right now is a trip to WDW in just over 3 weeks for a long weekend.

I am joining up with some friends from Pensacola, a few locals and a friend from the Cleveland area.

I'll be running the Outback in Orlando on the 21st! I can't wait!

So much snow and it's supposed to keep on coming through the night as well. I'm near the Whitneyville overpass just east of the Grand Rapids 28th St. exits and I can see I96 through the fields from my kitchen window. The cars are barely moving. It's crazy! I'll bet the kids will be home tomorrow also!

But if we start driving now we can by there by tomorrow night!

My DH was supposed to drive to Aquinas College tonight. He said he was going unless they canceled. I'd hide the keys before I would let him drive to GR in this. Luckily, they canceled.
