It depends on your baker but I would call the person and tell them you would like to set up a tasting. Some charge but this is not a norm. Who are you using? I am using Anna's Cakes she did a cake on Bridzilla and I am impressed with her feedback. I am in Texas so I will not be able to taste or see anything I just have to trust what others are saying.
I can tell you she emails me anytime I have questions and is willing to work with my budget.

Our dates are so close together. We will be arriving the day of your wedding so maybe I'll be able to sneak a peak if we are there in time!

hey Theresa! You have been a busy chick lately huh, lots of planning being done! I think for your tasting it does happen with a PS, the food tasting however does need to be seperatly arranged. I am having my PS in a few weeks and it is set up like this:
9am: Planning Session and Cake tasting at the GF
2pm: Food tasting at the Boardwalk

Hi Sam! Thanks for the info. You are correct. The cake tasting is included in the planning session (i had emailed our WP just to make sure) Unfortunately we can't do a menu tasting b/c we are using the Cali Grill. I'm not worried though, I've heard a lot of good things about them!

Ok. so first things first! I need to start a list of things I need to bring to Disney for our planning session. I know it is still 55 days away but it will be here before i know. Especially b/c i booked us 116 days out and it feels like yesterday! I'm going to start a list and if you could please add on to it, I would greatly appreciate the assistance. I really don't want to miss anything!

I would also bring your jewelry (if you have them) to the hair trial. It's always good to get the impression on how it will all look together. Perhaps even fabric samples/color samples of BM dresses so they canhave an idea of the color palette.

First of all YAY for registering that is so exciting!! I have seen people doing it in department stores when they go around with the scanner, and I want to do it soooo badly

Since I don't have a planning session, I don't know what is all involved, but here are some other things that may help:

-paint swatches of the colours you like
-a list of any specific food you would/would not want
-are you having a cosmo trial? If so, you could bring pics of makeup you like (from magazines) and to help with hair design and makeup, you could show a pic of your dress as well.
-are you having any music during your ceremony (violin, organ or what not)? You could bring a list of songs you were thinking of, and maybe they could tell you which ones the musicians know/don't know.

Sam ~ Thanks! I didn't even think of jewelry. I went and got 2 paint swatchs that are similar to the bm dresses. Neither is a perfect match but they are both close. I might see if I can take my sister's detachable straps that came with her dress. I know she wont use them so maybe that would be the best idea.

Hahah, no I don't mind at all!!! I can't relate with makeup, since I wear it almost 24/7, but I am sure people will have no problem doing a "natural" look. And who knows, maybe it will turn you into a makeup-a-holic like me

So we are booking our hotel today for the wedding/honeymoon. It's very exciting. I do have a couple questions though before I call. On our website it says the prices are only guaranteed for 4/17 - 4/21... i've heard of other brides around here being able to use the room block discount for the whole trip. we will be arriving on 4/15 does that mean we'd have to pay full price? i thought our wc said we could use it but now i'm second guessing myself.. Also, I only blocked out rooms at the contemporary for mike and I and my dad, but now my sisters are most likely staying there too. Do i need to add rooms to the block so they get the discount or can i just book the rooms through the website? I'm so confused and overwhelmed.

ok. so this just in.... we have toasting flutes! Originally we were planning on getting the Park Avenue flutes from Things Remembered which we both loved. But then mike found these and got offered an amazing deal. These were the first glasses that we had both loved but they were waaaaay to expensive b/c well, they are Waterford. Anyway, Mike found a pair at an amazing price so he bought them!

I know Purple isn't our main color anymore but we love them and figured they would still look nice! What do you think?
