Thanks Tammy! I am quite excited that we will be getting a coordinator soon! They said someone will give us a call next week! So now I'm in the process of thinking of questions to ask this person who will be calling us! I want to make sure we have all our ducks in a row!

small quick update... mike got a call from someone at disney the other day and forgot to tell me........... when i asked him last night if anyone had called him yet, he's like, "oh, yeah, basically took down what places we are looking at and put us on their radar... that's about it"

i'm giving mike the benefit of the doubt on no details b/c he's been sick for over a week now and is quite stressed. so... he's suposedly going to email me this person's name and number in case i think of anything to ask him! that's all for now though. i really don't know what the next step is other than calling on the one year mark.... hmmmm

Hi Everyone! Sorry I have been absent the past few weeks. I was working two jobs and with the holidays, it has been quite difficult to do anything! I hope you all will forgive me and continue to read my PJ!

Misty never returned my initial email so I'm going to email her again after the new year. Also, we have a WC. Kristi Davis. Mike spoke with her about two weeks ago and she said she'll be on vacation until after the new year and will follow up with us then! I'm super excited about that! Other than that I'm excited to have some spare time again!

Oh and Sorry Ladies! I'm taking the pics of my dress off b/c I want DF to play around on here and get ideas! I don't want him to accidentally stumble across it!

Hey, DGal! I have eaten at Citricos and loved it. It was beautiful-very open with lots of light and has a modern feel to it. The service was fantastic, too, as was the food.
Also, that Mickey shaped bouquet a few pages back was so cute. I've never seen anything like it!

WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I just got an email from Misty saying that she does have our date available and told me where on her website to find certain things. When I get home tonight I'm going to go right to her website (can't at work b/c my computer's not cool enough to have FLASH) and respond to her email with what package we are looking at and our tentative locations!!! I'm just really excited she's available for us!!!!

Mike's calling Misty today to see what she says about booking her before we book our date! We are nervous about sending a nonrefundable deposit b/c we won't be signing a contract for another 7 months. Also, I'm worried if we don't book her now than we won't be able to get her for our date once we do sign our DFTW contract b/c someone else already booked with her. Then if that's the case i fear we will have a hard time finding a photographer we can afford. I just don't know what to do? What do you ladies and gents think? should we take the risk and send a deposit now or should we wait and risk the chance of not finding a photographer we can afford?

Does she not change the date for you if you can't get the date you guys want when you sign your contract? Is that what you are worried about?

Thanks for the info Lynn! Randy was definitely a front runner choice and if we couldn't have Misty he'd be the next on my list to call. Your pics were amazing and I know he'd do a wonderful job. I read such great things about both him and Misty!


Mike just got off the phone with Misty and she said that she would write a special note in our contract allowing us to switch dates if necessary. He said she was very nice and incredibly understanding! So we will probably be in contact with her again within the next few days so we can book and send her a deposit!

Why don't you explain that to her and ask her if she will let you know if anyone else asks about the date. Have her pencil you in per say and if anyone asks about it then you can send in your deposit. Also specifically ask her if she is flexible/willing to move to another date if you do not get your date and time. If you didn't get your date and time then you would have to choose a new one and rearrange things anyway. I love Misty a lot but I am not an advocate of putting down deposits before things are final and at more than a year to go you could change your mind. I know there are a few wedding things I might have changed given the chance but I couldn't because of deposits. We spent a ton on our photographer and I second guessed all the way until the wedding day lol.
