Hi guys. Hope you are all in good health. I have finally booked our flights having got caught leaving it late in 2013 and having to pay a small fortune. Anyway we have booked with United, Birmingham (thats UK not Alabama ha ha, sorry joke at someones expense in the news this week) to Miami via a short stop at Newark for a couple of hours, £644.00 each. So its not a mad rush we fly to Miami a day before our Disney accomodation starts for a steady drive up. My question (finally i hear you say), is it worth a few hours round Miami before our drive north? or will we just all get shot?

I love Miami although we've only had overnight stays there. We've spent time around South beach and eaten on Lincoln Road. You won't get to see a great deal in a few hours but maybe have time for a meal and check out a particular area?

I think it depends what time you get to Miami - rush hour traffic can be very congested and easily add another hour or more to your journey so may be worth staying around until that passes.

I have stayed overnight at the airport which was OK and saved driving late into the night but not too much to see and I have also driven a couple of times which was pretty tiring driving straight off the plane.

I would personally crack on North if you are no too tired to get it out of the way.

i would stay you can do a mall or have a morning on the beach . we stayed north miami sunny isles beach area .
