Has anyone recently cruised from the port of Miami? I just had a panic thought right now. Pre-Covid we had only sailed from Port Canaveral and if you had too much luggage it wasn’t a big deal because once you were dropped off porters were grabbing your bags and taking them. Another words you didn’t have to schlepp them.
How does this work now with the Covid testing? I have in my head that you can’t really drop bags off until you’re tested? So are you done caring your luggage around for a while?.We’re going to have a taxi or Uber drop us off at the port will someone be there right away to take our luggage off her hands? We have too many for two people. Thanks

You can drop bags off with porters before testing. We just sailed out of Miami. We drove, and dropped our bags before even parking.

Oh thank God!!!!! We haven’t even got water yet to schleppt. Thanks. One less thing to stress about

Remember that water CANNOT be left with porters. They will probably take it because they like tips but when it explodes all over someone else’s suitcase you will have ruined their day

We sailed out of Miami last month, luggage drop off is first.
I saw a man schlepping a case of water around the ship, poor guy.
Our rooms weren't ready until 3pm.

A wheeled duffle or wheeled small suitcase would have made his life so much easier!!! When I bring water it always goes into something with wheels that I can roll on and around until rooms are ready

Even if it’s in a suitcase? I think I recall last time we simply had it in our checked luggage.🤷‍♀️ Can’t recall If it’s technically not allowed then I have a large carry on

We asked the porters about leaving liquid in our checked luggage, the said it was fine. Nope. Confiscated with a note saying liquids can’t be in checked luggage

I witnessed a "discussion" between officers and a passenger who had checked wine (at least) in a bag - it busted and ruined at least one other passenger's suitcase and clothes. The guilty party was going to have to pay for cleaning/replacement and was putting up such an argument I think he was faced with debarkation even before the cruise started.
