I'm planning to go on a Tuesday afternoon, yeah it's EEday, but it's the only day I'm there that MGM is open late with 2 Fantasmics. I'm thinking about going to the later Fantasmic, and trying to hit ToT & RnRC during the early showing. Will this work or will it be too packed to have fun there?

ToT may be OK, but RnRC will have a big line even during Fantasmic.

Why not try this itinerary? Take advantage of EE, go to ToT and RnRC. MGM is a small park, so with light crowds, you can get a good bit out of the way just in that 1 early hour. Then you can come back to MGM in the evening for the Fantasmic show. If you get ToT and RnRC out of the way in the morning, you can focus on other parts of MGM.

We also did the late Fantasmic show, and we did ride ToT during the early show. I would only ride RnR with a Fastpass. When we did ToT, the rest of our group was holding our place in line for Fantasmic, so it worked out well. They were at the end of the line, so it don't think it really put anybody out.

Good idea to take advantage of second Fantasmic showing. As for lines, it's kind of a gamble either way so either go for it and just enjoy the night sky or do it all in the morning.

Thanks everybody. I can't do MGM that morning, since it's our 1st day in the parks, we MUST do MK, if you know what I mean!:earsgirl: I'm planning to go back to MGM during our whirlwind last day in the parks on Sunday after hitting EE @ MK first, then on to Epcot at the end of the day. My dd is dying to try ToT!!! :Pinkbounc I'm hoping she gets to do it at least twice!

Your sched probably will differ from ours, naturally, but here is my approach this year. I'm targeting Fantasmic on the evening we do our BB day. We'll get back from the waterpark, rest, go to MGM 3-4pm for shakes at Sci-Fi, grab a turkey leg and get our seats early, relaxed-like.

Then the next day we do MGM the park, eat a relaxed(?) dinner, and then...HIT THE PARK SOME MORE!...while everyone else waits for Fantasmic. At least, I hope it will work in our favor this way.

We're going in October, so there is only one show per night. And it looks like ToT will be down then. Humbug!

With regard to Fantasmic, (sorry if I`m going off the thread a little) can you tell me if the toilets (restrooms) are easily to get to. I somehow can`t see my DD age 6 sitting for up to 2 hours and then being able to watch the show without the need to go!!

Thanks

IIRC, they are pretty accessible. My wife took the kids during THE WAIT while I saved the seats (I've got a Cinderella spinny toy-thing...AND I'M NOT AFRAID TO USE IT!) I think they are at the top of the stadium near the snack bar.

Restrooms are no problem at Fantasmic. Before you enter there are restrooms near ToT and across from Rosies American, plus there are restrooms at the top of the Fantasmic stadium.

We had gone back to MGM about 7:30pm thinking that we will do the 10:30 showing of Fantasmic and go on TOT and RRC. When we saw that there were no more fastpasses left and that the line times posted were 60 - 120, I thought let's just stand in line to see the 9:00 Fasntasmic show. At 8:00 when we went over we were told that there was standing room only. We decided that we would stand the hour at TOT instead. After that some time after 9pm we went over to stand in line for Fantasmic. They didn't let us in until about 10:15-10:20. There was room on both far ends of the stadium. DON'T SIT IN THE FRONT! I followed my oldest DD and she took us the front (middle section gets filled very quickly). Up front you don't see the water screen that well and you get wet. You do get to see the characters better, so what. Don't sit up front! MGM was extremely crowded when we were there.

Here's the plan: we have a 6:15 PS for dinner, so if we go at about 4:00 that should give us time to do a couple of slower attractions before the parade, then dinner, then do some more until 9:00 and head over to ToT. I am going to check to see if there's any FPs left when we get there, but it sounds like they may be gone by then.

Thanks for the tip on not sitting up front at Fantasmic! Do you think center 1/2way up is good? We've never had our choice of seating, I'm looking forward to that!

Those center seats fill up very quickly. If you are there and it is as crowded as it was when I was there forget about getting fastpasses in the early evening for rides like TOT and RRC. It was mobbed at the section of the park. You need to get a fastpass in the afternoon for riding those rides in the evening or you will stand on a long hot line.
