Please tell me what's the best way to go to BC from MGM? I have an ADR at Cape May for dinner. Thanks! :wave2:

Just take the Friendship boat :boat: directly from MGM to the Beach Club :beach: . It's a really nice ride. I think as you leave the gates of MGM you just sort of stay straight/maybe you veer to the left for the boat docks. I'm sure there will be signs. It's a fast and easy way to get there :sunny: .

There are three choices, drive, walk or take the boat. Of these, driving is probably the quickest. Walking or taking the boat are about even. The boat from the Studio stops first at the Swolphin before getting to the dock at the Yacht Club. From there you walk over to the BC. I believe that you could probably walk the entire way just as fast, especially if you count waiting for the boat.

Walking will be the quickest, but if you don't want to walk the whole distance, take the boat to Swan/Dolphin and walk from there. You can walk to YC/BC from S/D faster than the boat will get you there, but you won't have to walk all the way from MGM.

WALK! :thumbsup2 That way you can eat more at the FABULOUS Buffet! Yummy! We ate here on the 4th of July and it was GREAT! Our wonderful server and the manager were excellent! What a yummy time you will have...ENJOY! :jumping1:

We walk! Love the walk. We will come out of MGM, see the crowds waiting for the boat, start hoofing it and usually beat it (the boat).

Thanks everyone for the information!

How long is the boat ride? I'll be going with my parents and I guess they might not want to walk to BC after the long day.

Sazzo'sMommy, we are really looking towards the buffet! It will be our first time there.

From MGM you will stop at the Swan/Dolphin first, and then it goes to YC/BC after that. If I remember correctly the boat ride is at least 20 minutes long, and having to walk to the restaurant once you get to the YC/BC dock, I would make sure to allow for at least 30 minutes. Hope this is helpful.

We generally will walk from MGM unless there is a boat waiting when we get there. We enjoy going down the path between Boardwalk and MGM.

I agree with others here, it is lovely walk on a very nice day and you probably will beat the boat. :)

Thanks guys! :thumbsup2

One more question: What about going from MGM to WS in Epcot? I have another ressie during my trip in WS and I believe we would visit MGM for a second time.

You can take a boat (I'm not sure if one goes directly to EPCOT or not). If one goes directly from MGM to EPCOT, take that one. If not, you could always take a boat from MGM to YC/BC and walk from there, or once you arrive at YC/BC get on the boat that goes to EPCOT. Hope this is helpful.

P.S. Or you could walk. It would make for a long walk, however.

We always walk, that's why we love to stay at YC/BC/BWI...we just walk. It allows us to eat more! :thumbsup2 If you want to know our short cut that makes it even more enjoyable just PM me! :goodvibes

The Friendship boats make the loop between Epcot and MGM continuously and hit the resorts as well. From Epcot, I believe the rotation is Boardwalk, Yacht/Beach Club, Swan/Dolphin then MGM.....from MGM, I believe the order is reversed. I could have it a bit wrong. We did it several times last trip. The whole ride Park to Park is 25-27 minutes, depending on load/unload times at each stop. The walk from WS to Beach/Yacht club is easy and much quicker than the boat. The walk from Park to Park looks quite long, especially from the resorts over to MGM. The resorts are located much closer to Epcot. We ate at Cape May for the first time in June - YUMMY!!!!
