We went to SWW in 2005 and had a great time. We were on a Sunday-Friday trip, so we managed to catch two days of SWW.
The crowds were insane, but it was still pretty fun. The characters were everywhere, which was pretty neat. I got to do the Tatooine Trivia Challenge (for adults) which was a ton of fun. There were all those Disney extras (like Stormtroopers mocking guests as they walked in to the park) which added to the fun.
If you are a Star Wars fan, GO! You will have a good time. On the other hand, people that don't like Star Wars should avoid SWW at all costs. Too many people!!!
