MGM Closing at 6pm on 08/30/2003?

Hi,

We are heading down Aug 29th through Sept 8th and I was just taking a look at park hours. Does anyone know why MGM is closing at 6pm on August 30th?

It looks like it, there may be some special event that night which the park has to be closed for.

That I kinda of figured. I was wondering if anyone knew what the even was. I should have worded my original question better.

Probably some company having a party or something.

There is a "family reunion" sponsered by a radio station at WDW that weekend and MGM is closed for a private party for that, I think Friday there is something special at Pleasure Island for the same promotion- I cant remember the DJ's name or radio station that is sponsoring the reunion, I know its specifically for the AfroAmerican community with lots of special activities- if I remember the link, I will post that- Sheila

It is the Tom Joyner Family reunion.
