Why is MGM closing at 6:00pm on Sat, Aug 30?
Is there something going on?
That's unusual for a Sat.
Aand NO Fantasmic.
Both Fri & Sun close at 8:30pm.

This is a very large private party/convention. There are bands playing, and also a sorcery show going on for them.

The fall special-event fun begins Labor Day weekend when syndicated radio personality Tom Joyner is host to families from around the country during the first Tom Joyner's Family Reunion at Walt Disney World Resort, Aug. 28-Sept. 1.

Participants will be treated to special parties at Walt Disney World theme parks and Downtown Disney Pleasure Island featuring live entertainment.
