MF Question.

I was just talking to Quality Assurance (I think that's what they are called) as I had questions before I send back my papers. They tell me that all MF or Annual Dues as they call it are to be paid in February?? I thought that might be because of my Use Year, but she said thats not it and that ALL members have to pay their dues by February.

Also, pro-rated to them is August to Decemeber of this year, though my papers are still not sent in? Does this sound right?? It probably is not much difference but still.

It doesn't matter which UY you have, all dues are due at the first of the year and delinquent in February. Depending on points purchased and when you received your points, you dues might be pro-rated for the first year.

We are purchasing 160 points and they are giving us this years allotment as well. The told me that since the unit was ready at August, we will have to pay the MF from August to December even though technically our papers are still not sent in. By the time it goes through, it will be November.

We are purchasing 160 points and they are giving us this years allotment as well. The told me that since the unit was ready at August, we will have to pay the MF from August to December even though technically our papers are still not sent in. By the time it goes through, it will be November.

As a new buyer, I think that your dues for 2009 will be only from the date you agreed to purchase (ie: put down the deposit) until the end of the year.

People that purchased BLT, with Feb UY, prior to the August 4th opening had dues prorated from that point, but I don't think you will (unless you started a while ago) since you just purchased.

Once you sign and send back the papers and the contract closes, you will be able to contact Member Accounting and they will give you an accurate figure of what your 2009 fees will be.

As others have said, MF's are paid by the calendar year and that is why all owners are billed at the beginning of the year, regardless of UY.

Yes, you can pay monthly, at least the way we do. We have automatic monthly withdrawal from our checking account. Ours is a little tricky-one of our contracts has automatic withdrawal from our main account, the other contract, a small add-on that I really wanted, comes out of a small checking account I have. Yet, DVC has never messed up.

Don't wait for your cards. Call MS and they will give you the website info over the phone.

It should be by your purchase date, the date you put down the deposit. You could have made a reservation on that date.
