Mexican Riviera July 20, 08...Hola Amigos

. Anyone have any tips for finding good flight prices? Some are pretty scary:eek: :scared1:

I like to check KAYAK.com to compare the different major airlines and flight times, then also check Southwest since they are not included in Kayak. I'll start shopping for flights around Christmas. That historically is a lower price time. No one has a lot of disposable income for flights right around the Holidays. :sad2:

We're headed to Disneyland in November to celebrate my twins' 9th birthday, but are driving down. We may drive down for the cruise, but haven't decided yet.

Have a great evening!:flower3:

Welcome kveens:flower3: could you please give me your info so I can put you on the list on the first page:thumbsup2

Also if there is anyone else that i may have missed(sorry if so) or OP that are all ready there that i need to add something else please post it so I can be at your command:)

so have any of you have anything fun planned for the weekend? not much here but Ds has his first football game of the season tommorow.

Hi GotDisney!

My info is about 2 pages back, but I'll post again so you don't have to search for it.

Me (KVEENS) 46, DH56, Twins DD9 and DS9 will take our first DCL or any cruise July 20. We are in staterooms 1045 and 1047 with late dining.

I'm saving this Cruise for a Christmas surprise for the hubby, although the kids know and are excited beyond belief! We are most looking forward to the evening entertainment onboard, as we LOVE the Aladdin show at Disney's California Adventure and can't wait to see more of this type of show.

We have Disneyland annual passes so go down south from Portland to Anaheim every chance we get, but we haven't made the trip to FL yet. That is on schedule for July 09.

BUMP!

Where is everyone? My guess is back to school has seriously cut into everyone's DIS time.

We spent the weekend at soccer jamboree and DH's company picnic.

We are having the last of our 90 degree summer weather, so are enjoying being outdoors before the rain sets in and we are indoors again until April or May.

Kerri (aka kveens)

I am in the middle of a horrendous heat wave, in a building with no air conditioning............it's been really tough around here.............:confused3

HOLA AMIGOS!!!!
Ok, I'll go with it. Hey everyone:thumbsup2 Just thought I'd pop in for a bit and catch up. Thanks Laura for the shout out. I have abit of news for ya, call me some time when you can. It's less than a year away!!! Wow! it's going to go by so fast. Can't wait to hear the ships horn. Well gota go, chat with ya'll later.

I'm here! I only booked this cruise (our very first) a couple of weeks ago, so have been lurking on the boards trying to learn all I need to know. We consist of me 46, DH 56, twins DD 9 and DS 9 at time of sailing. We booked two adjoining deluxe inside staterooms on the first deck because DH is highly prone to seasickness. Being from the West Coast, we are Disneyland addicts. We haven't cruised before because Florida seems so far away, and hubby has definite issues with gambling, Las Vegas type shows, and lots of alcohol consumption, so we haven't sailed on another cruise line. We have our first trip to WDW planned for July 09. Hummm, maybe need to tack a three-day or four-day cruise onto that?

Can we get your name and where you live and and twins names if you can if dont want to that is fine also....

Also how is DH with Bingo...they have that on board and can get expensive but it is a lot of fun :) On the ship it can be addicting just the chance to win hundreds every few days and even thousands at the end of the cruise....may want to keep that a secret :rotfl2:

Hi all! Sorry, even through I subscribed to this post I am not getting the notifications :confused3 Anyway...my family will be on Main Dining (early seating). We are staying on Deck 2. I forgot the cabin number, I just know that it is Deck 2 cat 9.

Looking forward to getting to know you all in the months ahead!

Could use some more info from you also....check out first page and see what you would like to add...KKKKKK:thumbsup2

I'm Kerri (46), DH is Steve (56), DD is Emily (9 1/2) and DS is David (also 9 1/2). We are from Portland, Oregon. I work for Nike.

Welcome!!! My DH misses the gambling side of sailing, but we live near Atlantic City, so I don't miss at all!:goodvibes DCL's entertainment surpasses all the lines we've sailed on..........:thumbsup2

Just another quick "bump" - my dinosaur bit the dust this past week and so I am regulated to late night again now that school has started back up.

We made Vegas fun - I hit a royal flush on a quarter machine and 4 Aces with a deuce on the dollar machine so my downpayments or 2nd payments are being paid this upcoming week. Did I mention that I  Vegas?

Anyway, that place has changed SO much in just 9 months that I felt like a virtual stranger. Oh well, guess that I will just have to schedule another small mini-vacation after our year end on the 30th of this month.

Talk to you all later.
BTW, the suitcases are unpacked and the house is starting to smell like a semi-clean house now - at least when we shut the door the dust doesn't swell up anymore. I guess no one around here other than me knows what a swiffer duster is for - :lmao:

Yes life is CRAZY now that school is back in session!:scared1:

Between soccer games and teacher's things at night life is nuts. I need to figure out a way to clone myself!

My DD7 won first runner up in a pageant last night:cheer2: I was a nervous wreck! I was just as nervous as when DS plays in tournaments for baseball!

Got to load the pictures on snapfish and do laundry :laundy:

Catch up later!

Sooooo where is everyone:confused3
This was wayyyy back to the 16th of Sept. :goodvibes

Well we have about 10 months left and seems just like yesterday that I was on that phone at 5am yes 5am here in California for the phones to be opening at 8am EST. for the first day opening fopr bookings, did get a good rate. Better than if I waited a couple more weeks:thumbsup2

So what is everyone else doing....any other vacations coming up before this one? We will be doing DL for 5 days for New Years. Gotta love those crowds:rotfl:

So what are you up to?

Hi Got Disney!

I am making at least 3 trips to DL before the cruise. We are headed there in 44 days for my twins' 9th birthday. One wanted breakfast with Lilo and Stitch, the other wanted prime rib from Blue Bayou and they both wanted Fanstasmic Dessert Buffet to celebrate their birthday. We'll be driving down on November 9 and staying for the first Happy Holidays Parade on November 16 before driving home. I can't wait to see the castle with snow and icicles!

Then when Spring Break comes (March 24), we will do another road trip to DL. Also planning to get there for two or three days before the cruise. Our annual passes are getting a workout this year!

East Coaster here..........we're going to WDW for the HM in January, that's all we have lined up so far!!:cool1:

Hi everyone...hope all is well and you are enjoying your day:thumbsup2

Seems that we are all vey busy with our lives but wanted to stop in, Bump and say "HI" :dance3:

Just want to check in and say hi to everyone.

School has been super busy this year. We're planning on a vacation in Hawaii for Christmas. Can't wait for the winter break.

Best regards.

Hi fellow July 20th Cruisers:thumbsup2

I am working extra hours today, but school, soccer and cub scouts have kept me really hopping :yay: since early September. I can't wait until November 9th when we head to DL for a week.:wizard:

I just bought the kids 4-piece luggage at Target yesterday for $39. :cool1: I know you get what you pay for, but they are 8 year olds. How rough are they going to be on it?:confused3 I am sure they will be full for our cruise. We will test them out this November trip and during Spring Break.

Hope everyone is doing great and dreaming of the Mexican Riviera!

Kerri
