But then it was time....time for what you ask? (nice timing by the way, I appreciate how my audience sets me up for the really good stuff). Time for Superhero Me. Yup...I became my own superhero. The wet suit squished me in all the right places...and I became...again...Superhero Me. I know, it's not a good name, I'm working on it.
Sorry, Ladies, I'm already married. Some people would be embarrassed to post a picture like this. Not me...I'm a superhero!
And as all superhero's need a sidekick...
Superhero Me and Superhero Mini-Me
ha! I know...I know. Please go clean the drool up. I find that cloth towels clean drool better than paper towels. just a suggestion.
Superhero Me and Mini-Me posing with some fans. Like all superheroes, when I'm in my superhero outfit no one knows who I am.
Finally it was time to go in and swim with the dolphins. We were taking inside and introduced to our trainer...who's name I can't remember at all. Our dolphin was Nacho (which I also couldn't remember until DW came in a few minutes ago to tell me).
Overall I can't say I was really impressed by this company and the dolphin swim. When Deanna did this (granted in a different Mexican port) they seemed really engaged the whole time. Our trainer seemed lost after about 10 minutes of the 20-25 minute encounter and just kept doing the same thing over and over again.
For the first 5 minute he had the dolphin swimming around us as a group so we could pet him. This was really neat as we were in the water and the very close interaction with these incredible animals was cool. The skin feels like rubber, but is very slippery...and man is that tail ever powerful, he sped away from me at one point hitting my leg with his tail and it was so strong.
After that we all got to ride, the dolphin flipped over on it's back and rode us around the pool. Then more of the swimming around us. Then we got kisses and gave kisses to the dolphin, and then we all got to dance with the dolphin. How's that for a run-on sentence! One of the parents was very concerned that her daughter had a large booger in her nose (I’m not kidding), so she felt that the pictures would be ruined so she requested to have her daughter go again...and they ended up giving all the kids another ride (there were 3 kids including Connor). So that was cool.
but again, it was like the guy was surprised that there was time left over so he kept doing things over and over. Then at the end the dolphins all did a mini performance for us, swimming fast, jumping, etc. That was neat...and we had up front very close seats for it all.
Here are the pictures:
