Our neighbors, meanwhile, took a taxi over to one of the islands in the picture above, told him when they wanted to be picked up and he left. They enjoyed a couple of hours on the sand...apparently only one other family was there so it was really fun. they were a bit nervous about the taxi...but right on time he came and picked them up. they really enjoyed it and I'll try it if we go back...so it's something to think about if you are on a future cruise!
The rest of the afternoon was spent doing the usual...pizza, reading, and laying out.
You can see he is related to Superhero Me.
it's a bird...it's a plane...or is it a great white beached whale. You see that my disguise is quite good.
DW and I discussed what to do and saw that there was another DVC presentation. Feeling that the curse of the Gemstone Seminar had to life eventually we decided to brave another hour of the same thing we already saw. Yes, we are cheap and hoped to get $300. Now, we could have not upgraded and saved a lot more than that....but why bother when we can enjoy learning more about the point system??
Well, we didn't win the $300. But we did win a luggage tag which filled our collection (we had a Wonder one, a Magic one and now a DVC one). So would you say the curse of the Gemstone Seminar was over? Me either.
That night we were going to Palo for dinner, but went down with the kids for at least the beginning of dinner.
See, they clean up nice.
Nick and Chris
Connor and Kathryn
Connor got army men from a Fish Extender and had a grand old time. I feel sorry for them, though as many of them were thrown in a vat of water throughout dinner.
Then it was off to dinner for us.
Waiting to go in
We had Vladimir again and again he was ok. The biggest advantage of him being just ok was that I didn't walk out of there exploding. Frankly the really good wait staff will end up bringing you a whole bunch of stuff you didn't order to try. He didn't really push that...so that was good. I do think we all had two desserts though
You have to have the soufflé, and I really like their Tiramisu. Yum!
If you were reading my earlier installments (and if you weren't I'm not impressed with you cheating), you read that we embarrassed our assistant server, Maggie about her boyfriend in Palo. Naturally we had to have a picture.
Yes we are silly Americans.
After Palo we did a few pictures...or maybe it was before Palo. That makes more sense since it's the restaurant the kids ate dinner in.
I give you this picture because you should have seen where my hand was right before the picture got taken. That would have taken the rating up on this TR.
DW and Superhero Me, still in disguise.
the two older kids hit the pool yet again (time to chase the girls). Connor picked out Kindergarten Cop and we asked for it to be delivered. DW crashed while I watched the movie with Connor. Shortly thereafter Nick returned from the pool and both kids promptly fell asleep...so much for the movie! Plain Tuckered out.
So that's it for today's painful submission. Hope you mustered through, thanks for your attention...have a nice day.
Next Up: Chapter 10: back to the Port...oh wait...it's a day at sea.
