Just wanted to send my best wishes to all of you. I can not imagine what thoughts must be going through your hearts and minds in these days. Hoping everyone stays safe!!!

I just wanted to stop in to let you all know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I know most of you don't know who I am but I post on the What's for Dinner thread and know Kathy and Sheryl along with a few more of the NOLA gals. Please stay safe and know that if all of our prayers can turn a storm this one has not chance.

Jan same thing here. I don't know if it's just my nerves or because of the anniversary of Katrina but I've been teary eyed all day. Maybe knowing I should be packing and keep putting it off because I don't want to lose another house.

My son, daughter-in-law, and grand-baby are coming north out of South Louisiana on Sunday. They live between Oppolusas and Lafayette and are scared to death of losing another home (Rita).

the traffic to BR was horrendous this afternoon....6 mile delay on I-55 and bumper to bumper from Carrollton to spillway....

There are rooms available at the Pop Century! I just checked......theres no way hubby would drive to Orlando though, we always fly. I just thought maybe WDW would be more fun than Meridian Ms (where I have a room booked, I booked it Tuesday afternoon. I am surprised that I was so prepared for once ).

Also I guess we should stay kind of close. My boss told me to prepare to come to work Wednesday. Um, I'm thinking maybe not.

There's more info on the DOTD website as well. For those of you wanting to head east, remember we partner with Mississippi, so you may have to avoid I-10 if they decide to activate their contraflow as well. I'm sure the MDOT site has evac info as well.

Atypical Friday night for me to be here DISing. Spent lots of phone time with the relatives today. I'll either have a house full or just us. Won't really know 'til later tomorrow. Couldn't help but think of all of y'all & had to come check in. I really should be finishing that mountain of laundry.....

I guess nerves are getting to me too. I actually forgot to eat lunch this afternoon. Didn't realize it 'til I was getting the boys off the bus.
