DD has not been fairing well whenever it rains. Ever since she got caught in the flood a few weeks ago she has been having flashbacks about Katrina. Well I decided she needed to talk to someone other than me so I have scheduled her an appointment with a Counselor. It does not help that her grandmother and uncles have all left the city due to K.

Aww man- hugs to you both. Hopefully the Orlando trip will help cheer her up. I think the counselor is a good idea. I can't imagine how hard it must be for the kids.

I still have problems when it rains too- I start pacing, looking out the windows, panicking, etc. I need a Tylenol PM if it rains at night too- otherwise, I can't sleep. Most of us probably need some counseling!

Terry, that must be so hard for both of you. The counselor is a great idea, hopefully this can be resolved soon. The Jackson move would probably be very good for her as well, yes?

Aw Terry your poor DD! I hope the counselor and the move to Jackson helps. Plus the trip to WDW will help cheer her up!

Sept 12: DHS in the AM, water park or resort pool PM (PM ADR at resort rest.)
Sept 13: MK -Lunch ADR at LTT. Since this is our last day, we may hop to Epcot at some point depending on DD's mood.

Have you done your ADRs yet? The main thing I hate about the Dining Plan is having to plan out my vacation so far in advance! Kind of leaves out any room for spontanaeity.

We didnt do park hopper tixs this time , so ive got our schedule down to a science LMAO! Im sure ill be kicking myself, but since we were just there in Oct for 10 days, im really just trying to catch the stuff we missed.. which im not sure how we missed stuff while being there 10 days, but it did take about 3 days for Jack to get in the groove so we lost time there .
Where are yall staying.. we are at Pop music.

OHHH i do know I have afternoon tea planned for just me at the Grand Floridian one day, maybyou and your cutie could do that with me and we can let our guys nap or they can hang together. Let me go look for that schedule, took me days to plan it LOL!

We're at All Star Movies Sept 6 (drive in day), then at CBR Sept 7-14. I know just what you mean- our trip last May was 10 days long, but we missed A LOT due to Miss Thing not being able to handle more than 4 hours in the park at a time. Our trip in October was a little better, but we only went to MK and Epcot because we were only there 5 days and knew DD couldn't handle the parks for too long at a time. (yeah, she's just a tad high maintenance ) Hopefully she'll handle the big fun a bit better this time around (not holding my breath though ).

7:10 am Chef Mickeys
Epcot day!! late hrs for Epcot that day.
Back to room lunch timeish and nap
Then back to Epcot.

Sept 13th
Mgm Early hours
back to room lunchish time and nap
4:50 dinner fantasmic package Hollywood and Vine
spend the rest of night in MGM

Of course we can figure something out somewhere to hang for a few!

Im soo freaking excited about it! LOL my plan is to just leave the guys in the room to swim or nap.

Hey, checking in real quick.

We have Chapelle 8th grade graduation tonight for DD. She is very excited She had 12 of her girl friends over here yesterday for and end of schoolyear party. Whew, I was tired when that was over

I haven't started packing yet either. I'm going to start tomorrow.

Hmmm, on the 12th we have a 6pm ADR at Shutters- prob. not that day either. She usually naps from 2-4 pm (which of course can vary wildly in Disney). Maybe we could get a drink one night or something like that?

Thanks also for the thoughts for DD. I have tried reassuring her but I am not doing it for her. I am not sure if Jackson will be good for her. She is so involved in things here, school, gymnastics, Girl Scouts, and her friends. I feel like I am taking her away from everything like I did when we went to Houston due to Katrina. Doh! This is so complicated! I just looked at the schedule and figured that maybe we could meet y'all in Epcot after our dinner at Shutters on the 12th. I just ran it by DH and he looked at me like I was crazy. He said it is too much park hopping (but then why did we get the park hoppers, hon?) Back to the drawing board! Eh, we'll figure out something.
