Metro New Orleans DISers - check in!!! - Part II

Good Morning Ladies.

Lorie I love all the new shots of Sienna. She is such a cutie pie.

Lori good luck with all the female problems. The pictures of your girls are adorable as well.

FloraFauna I'm sorry David didn't make the Quiz Bowl Team. I'm sure something he will like just as much will come along for his Junior year. We have kids the same age. Kelsie will also be a Junior next year.

Happy Hump Day my friends.

Good Morning!

Terry- So glad your DD is feeling better!

Lori- Thank you so much for the curly hair advice! I am truly clueless what to do with the frizz ball head, and a curly haired friend told me to spend $$$$ on hair products. No yet, she's only 2! I will try the leave in conditioner. Ronald McDonald hair describes it perfectly! :rotfl: It keeps growing, but just keeps getting bigger and higher rather than longer. Your DD's hair is beautiful and I hope Sienna will have hair like that! Thanks for the pics!

Good morning. Thanks for all the well wishes for Dave. He went to the Hornets game with his grandfather, so that should cheer him up. DH says he got in around midnight. I fell asleep waiting for him.

When he told me he didn't make the team yesterday, he was in the front seat with me. I wanted to reach out and hug him, but I was driving carpool, and there were 3 other boys in the back seat. It's not the worst thing in the world, but at his young age, its something major. And thanks, all of you, for being there.:)

I also had good news for both the kids yesterday: I bought the tickets for Disneyland, California Adventure and Magic Mountain. We are planning our summer trip to Los Angeles and I have almost everything done for the trip. We are getting very excited about that.

That is how Haley's hair was, it never got longer till the pics you see of her at 4-it just grew OUT and the curls got tighter. I wish i could show ou this one of her that is a close up in her, but it needs to be scanned and all 'cause it was a film camera-maybe i will get to it.

On a side note-i watch my friends baby(8 months) every other Wednesday and i have her today. This and the last time I have had her have been rough. She is tired but won't go to sleep, no matter what i do, rock, put her down, try a bottle, pacifier-nothing. She is so sweet and reminds me of Ashton due to fussing so much when tired. Thing that is differnt is that i allowed my children to cry it out-not sure her mom does. Haley was EASY at this age-she just went to sleep on her own when I put her down. I wonder though if the fact she CAN play by herself so well, but Ashton cannot, even now!

Sorry for your little boy- I hope he is not crushed too badly. And hopefully going to DL will make him think happier days are ahead!

Lori

Afternoon Y'all,

I went to church with Alexis & her class this morning. The last "church day" of Pre-K4. :sad1: Then was out running errands.

Lori, I came in & saw your pm, sent you another long note. I hadn't yet seen your post about Lakeside. I had my DD at Lakeside. Long time ago, but it was a great hospital. That pic of you & Haley is so pretty! Your DH is a lucky man with three good-looking gals in his house!

Lorie, Sienna's hair is going to start getting longer soon. Just give it time. She is going to be soo drop-dead gorgeous, her Daddy is going to have to stick to her like glue!

Mary, David must have felt better after the game last night! And with a trip planned to L.A. & DL, that will give all of you something to look forward too!

Terry, Hope your DD continues to get better. :flower3:

Now that's what I call GREAT news!!!!:cool1: :dance3: :yay:

Thanks for all the well wishes.

DD is doing much better as of 3:00 today. She has kept everything down and has not had to go to the bathroom...:) Just in time for her Girl Scout crossing over ceremony tonight.

Terry - I'm so glad she's feeling better. I'm not familiar at all with Girl Scout ceremonies, exactly what is a crossing over?

Hey, we're getting some heavy rain out here in Kenner right now

Terry - I'm so glad she's feeling better. I'm not familiar at all with Girl Scout ceremonies, exactly what is a crossing over?

It is a ceremony in which each group moves up to the next group. For ex. Daisies to Brownies, Brownies to Juniors, etc. DD moved to a Junior. It was a nice cermony.

Unfortunately I had to go to the Urgent Care Center after; DD closed the SUV door on my finger...I screamed bloody murder. :scared1: It is not broken thank goodness but it is sprained.

Early morning fly by....

Hey gang - everybody make it through last night OK? I know the roughest of the weather stayed along I-12, so I'm especially wondering about Jen (up in Walker) and our Northshore people.

Looks like we're in for more of the same today. Y'all be careful.

Sounds like a nice ceremony. for you and your finger. It's probably going to be VERY sore today, take care.

The lightening was unbelieveable last night. Kind of scary. It looks like round two will be coming soon. Drive safe everyone.

Stay safe.

Morning ladies...boy it looks nasty outside; I got into the building just in time.
Please br careful.

My finger is okay this morning; I have one of those metal thingies on it, wrapped with gauze.

Today is Grandparents' day @ DD's school. I can't wait to see what happens.
