Hey guys, I'm feeling horrible, got a migraine because of today....here's what happened, sorry I haven't read back on what's going on with y'all. : (This was copied from a post I made on the WFD thread this afternoon.)

I am so MAD I could throw my laptop across the room. KYLE told the coach his back felt great......coach said great, get in there and pitch.....they rocked him. This is just so wrong in so many ways. I don't care about the stupid game, I'm concerned about my son's future. Kyle will do and say anything to get in the game, he'd been pressured all week. I threw a fit, Johnny & the coach told me, he'll be fine, we'll pull him if he starts hurting. I could tell from the first pitch he was in pain, but what do I know I'm just a MOM.......sorry for the rant. Hopefully someone learned a lesson from this.

It must be an early St Pat's party- I googled March 1st and didn't see anything especially Irish about it. They're really getting down out there- they've got the drums going now and some dancers doing an Irish jig too.

I was wondering about Jenny too- didn't she say they were having some computer problems? I hope that is all it is.

I've never heard of Parrot Pete's but it sounds yummy! Next time we're on the other side of the bridge we'll have to try it out!

I didn't remember her saying that. I hope that's all it is, comp. problems. If she doesn't check in soon, I'll have to call her.

Hi guys-

Thanks for the kind words...I have been very stressed lately so I am trying to take care of myself. I have been neglecting me in order to do for everyone else and now I am paying for it! With the help of my Dr. and some drugs hopefully I will feel better soon!

Ms Marigny - I bought 10 boxes of GS cookies. The lemon ones are awesome!

Kathy - I hope you feel better...I would be concerned as well.

Super lazy morning here. Reading the paper &

No cooking for breakfast, lunch, err brunch. We are heading out the door now, back to Parrot Pete's. Anyplace that has shrimp & grits and fried green tomatoes on the menu for brunch we've got to try!

I'll let y'all know later, how it was!

Terry, Edwin Edwards had sold the Treasure Chest casino license to him. Edwin went to jail for all of that stuff, but Guidry squealed on him, gave back the license & saved himself. Later there was brawl with Al Copeland in a restaurant, after criticizing Al's taste in rest. decor in the media. Apparently Al leapt across a table to slug him. He's has big money and couldn't get investors interested in the place on Manhattan. So he did with his own money & no commitments from any retail stores. I hope it goes well because the complex is gorgeous!

Where has everyone been this weekend?? I'm usually not on the dis on the weekends. But then I get on Monday morning & find myself lost with all the chat!!

Lorie, Did you ever figure out what the Irish/Scottish party was for?

Terry, Hope you are feeling better. I bought GS cookies in front of Bed, Bath & Beyond today.

And you WB girls have got to go to Parrot Pete's! And everyone else too! Bob had Shrimp with Grits with a creole sauce, that was on the Brunch Special board. It was lick the plate, good! I had the fried green tomatoes with shrimp & remoulade appsz. & a croissant. At first, when I looked at it I thought it would need a lot more remoulade, but the sauce was so flavorful it was great. The fried tomatoes were not the least bit greasy! Only 3 tomatoes & 3 shrimp but delicious. Everything was really good. This is a cafe, where you order at the counter, but then they bring the food to the table. The dishes we had rivaled some of our better restaurant's! I wish I had taken the camera, because the food was plated like one of our better restaurants.

And then guess who was there? yeah Bobby Guidry himself. And for some strange reason, he came over to us, shook Bob's hand & asked how we liked it. Luckily we were able to tell him it was great. He then decided to sit down at the table next to us and have a salad & chat! He told us that his rest. next door the Alligator Pear would be open by August & they were going to open a five star Steak House there hopefully very by fall.

We also grabbed some desserts to take home. I got a mini key lime pie that was perfect & Bob had a blueberry scone that was great. Both were not too sweet, just right. I'm also happy we can order cakes & pies from here. This is something we haven't had on the WB since Katrina. And these (so far) appear to be almost Whole Food quality!

Y'all really have to go look at this complex. It reminds you of a Disney property, the ambiance is so nice!

Oh, I forgot Parrot Pete's also serves ice cream & according to the menu "the world's best yogurt"!

We just really liked the place for the ambiance & we are just so happy to see anything this "upscale" happening on the Westbank!

That is something we have thought about for soo long! Glad to hear it was good! Can't wait to see pics! Do you know if it's something Bob could do? I've heard you can ride in thier wagon or in your own car? Do you know?

I don't think you can ride in your car because the animals are free roaming, no fences or anything. They have a huge tractor pulled covered wagon. The animals come right up to you, as you can see in the picture I will post as soon as they upload!

The trip was worth. I do believe it is wheel chair accessible. The fourth wagon had a ramp.

We paid extra and bought this bucket of feed to give the animals...Kurt jr loved this.

Zebra, right next to us...these were the only animals they told us we couldn't touch or feed, because they are really mean and like to bite.

This is the only camel on property. They said he is lazy and refuses to get up to be fed, lol.

A few more...this is the lead female, her name is Cloutile (sp?)...I fed her after I took this pic.

This is a type of antelope, they like to steal the cups, this one got mine!

This open field is very special. The animals couldn't be evacuated for Katrina. When the keepers returned they found all 4000 animals standing in this open area, away from the trees, and at the highest point of the property. All survived.

Stephanie, Thanks for the great animal pics! and Kurt Jr is a cutie even when he doesn't want his picture taken! Really glad to hear they have a ramp wagon! We've been meaning to call & see if he could do that, so we could take Alexis to see it.

Kathy, It's in that huge complex they've been working on for quite a while. Most of the complex isn't finished yet but the ponds are in & several large buildings are finished.

Kath, I hope Kyle's back improves this week. Will he be taking it easy at practice?
